do you have any regrets in life?

i'm doing some reflecting so thought I'd ask.

Spunky 05-07-2008 08:08 PM

I regret not pursuing college when I was younger

OzMan 05-07-2008 08:08 PM

apart from clicking this thread, no :winkwink:

corvette 05-07-2008 08:10 PM

kind of regret leaving the front of the prince crowd a few minutes into the show last sat night

OzMan 05-07-2008 08:13 PM

Seriously though, I know it sounds cliche but it's true. Every experience in life good or bad is invaluable so whatever choices you make, you are benefiting from them, even though it's easy to see after what you "should" or shouldn't have done to produce the outcome you thought would be the "best" for you. :2 cents::thumbsup

aico 05-07-2008 08:13 PM

not yet, but I can foresee some things biting me in the ass later on.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 05-07-2008 08:22 PM

I regret not being able to spend more time with my Mom before she passed away suddenly, when I was 26. I joined the Navy when I was 17, and after my six years was up, I went straight into college, and so I only saw her twice during the last few years before she died.

No matter how busy you are, always make time for your loved ones, because they can be gone in an instant...

Lots of regrets business wise. I had the chance to buy stock.com but waited too long to pull the trigger and missed out. Many missed fortunes out there.

PorniSteph 05-07-2008 08:52 PM

Only one... not getting my ass over to the adult biz industry earlier! This shit rocks! :thumbsup

I agree totally, there is virtue in everything you do.

tony286 05-07-2008 09:01 PM

Bojangles 05-07-2008 09:05 PM

I see every decision I have made has shaped my present situation in some form or another. Currently I am happier than I ever have been - so whatever negative thing has happened, it has been turned into a positive either in changing my surroundings, or my attitude. No regrets - instead - I learn from my mistakes

mind you - in reflection - I should have pulled out sooner *jk

gadabout 05-07-2008 09:13 PM

I have one but that was a long time ago. I really don't have any others besides that.

Naughty-Pages 05-07-2008 09:19 PM

regrets.. at least a dozen..

i think in my married adult having kids life:
from 89-94 my life was in a shithole..

from like 94 to 2000 things were good..

and from 2001-2007 it was a shithole..
from 2007-2008 i made some changes and it's a little better. (a transistion..)

but be it not for the 70's-2007, i would not know what i know now, nor be able to do the things i am now...

the problem with the ability to go back and possibly change them means that everything you are and know would not be so...

DamageX 05-08-2008 01:58 AM

Yes, I regret that I have regrets.

polish_aristocrat 05-08-2008 02:16 AM

yes, a lot of them actually, both personal and business-wise

but not gonna share them here

Well said. I've made some big mistakes in the past but in the end I learned a lot from it, so I'm happy it happened.

baddog 05-08-2008 02:41 AM

Regrets or nights you would like to take a Mulligan on?

pimpware 05-08-2008 02:57 AM

I regret I didn't "discovered" adult industry on the so called "oldschool age", now I woud be rich.

sicone 05-08-2008 03:03 AM

Not a single regret... EVER

don't get me wrong, there are things I wish I had done differently, but....

without every experience I have been though, good or bad... I would not be the person I am today.

Do I regret who I am and what I am. NEVER

It does sound cliche, and is a load of shit. Tell that to someone who ends up in a wheelchair for the rest of their life, or ends up bankrupt and without a family. It's fine and well to say these kind of things if you have no major regrets, sure we all face things and get over them. But many people out there face shit that can't be so easily passed off as being 'best' for them.

Mistah Charlie 05-08-2008 03:28 AM

I regret not buying Google at $64/share.

I regret not doing enough to defeat George Bush in 2000 & 2004.

I regret not making love to you.

Ashley023 05-08-2008 03:30 AM

just a few....hopping a ride in the train, not paying the forfeit out in time....

Mistah Charlie 05-08-2008 03:36 AM

PS you always post threads like this without confessing regrets yourself. c'mon, out with it.

Firehorse 05-08-2008 03:41 AM

Living in the moment leaves no room for regret. Living in the past, and in fear invariably leaves room for regret ... especially since the basis of regret is an attachment to the fear that the past could have been better. It really depends on your attitude to life and spirituality. What ever works for you. :)

Drake 05-08-2008 04:02 AM

Plenty...

CarlosTheGaucho 05-08-2008 08:23 AM

Dunno, don't have any cliche to say, nothing in my mind straight away..

There are even things the most of people would probably hesitate, but I never did - like I was never in any serious relationship, never.. partly that I used to be shy (used to..) and there is no mysoginy in that, anyone who knows me well can confirm I am very passionate and love women more than anything else, but it just never worked out, although I am already past the period when I would negate the relationship.

I figured having more time for yourself beeing young when your brain is still able to somehow learn is actually a good thing after all...this will sound very macho, but I am actually glad I never had to solve who is going to buy spaghetti for the dinner..

I am aware I am not a typical product of the society, and I am thankful for that, cause i am probably able to turn it into the advantage now..

The older you get the more vulnerable you are and the more you are liable to reflect though, the more you also value that someone is there for you when needed, simple things like this...

SykkBoy 05-08-2008 08:27 AM

there are things that if I could do them over again, I would...but nothing really regretful...

DaddyHalbucks 05-08-2008 08:29 AM

Sure I do. Hopefully as you grow older, you make fewer mistakes and you have fewer regrets.

Brad Gosse 05-08-2008 08:30 AM

I have no regrets in life. I sometimes wish I went to college to have a better foundation in computer science but frankly it may have messed up my path to where I am now which I wouldn't change.

Klen 05-08-2008 08:51 AM

I regret something almost on daily bases lol

DirtyProfits 05-08-2008 08:58 AM

yes I have

CaptainHowdy 05-08-2008 10:09 AM

Leave the past where it belongs... :2 cents:!

Brother Bilo 05-08-2008 10:18 AM

There are things I would have done differently if given the chance, but I wouldn't say I regret them. Success and failure shape a personality, got to have them both.

firecracker 05-08-2008 10:24 AM

What good does regret do? I believe if you are basically a good person who learned as you matured how can you regret the outcome of who you are today?

Agent 488 05-08-2008 10:28 AM

fuck yeah.

Honez 05-08-2008 10:34 AM

I regret not using sunblock for years and years. :(
