State of the Union---Scary!

I got all this in my vet newsletter, scary stuff, some of the urls' didn't work so I deleted them, happy reading

Ponder these three parts of the equation:

Part 1

In just one year . Remember the election in 2006?
Thought you might like to read the following:
A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

Quote of the Day........"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." -- Barack Obama

Part 2:

Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.
www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html

Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $14,000 Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K - tax $ 16,800 Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250

Both democratic candidates will return to the higher tax rates

It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama or Hillary are elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

PART 3:

You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much?
Read this:
Boy am I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it
Is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.

I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.
I hope the following 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again
Until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them.

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens

What does any of this have to do with a Democratic Congress?

Your billions are yearly.. Iraq is a monthly total resulting in the same amount and the policies you described didn't kill 3000 innocent American soldiers. George Bush did that.

J. Falcon 05-06-2008 07:30 AM

Go Obama!

fuhkinglou 05-06-2008 07:33 AM

So insanely biased its not worth debating. The foreclosure issue has nothing to do with the Dems. Gas prices? Ummm. Iraq war? If you can't admit that Bush and his super war and crony-ism have SOMETHING to do with it then really.... Man, I don't know. If anything the Dems have been at fault for GOING ALONG WITH BUSH FOR TOO LONG.

Don't believe everything you read in e-mails! I got an e-mail that says my penis can be even bigger! Sadly I know it's just gonna stay the same.

Get your news from varied sources and check crooksandliars.com and talkingpointsmemo.com for your super liberal bias. I also watch my fox news at newshounds.us

Quagmire 05-06-2008 07:37 AM

Deport all the illegals back to their home countries so the people who went bankrupt and lost their homes will have shitty apartments and pay by the week motels to move in to.

Plus, all those low level below minimum wage jobs will be open which means everyone can get a 2nd and 3rd job to make ends meet if they'd prefer to keep their home and not move.

Vendzilla 05-06-2008 07:53 AM

I didn't say I believe all this, but the numbers seem to be correct, yeah most vets vote GOP and you have to take all of it with a grain of salt

Socks 05-06-2008 07:55 AM

Vietnam vets of all people should know better than voting for war hungry criminals: i.e. Bush and Cheney.

Socks 05-06-2008 07:58 AM

Maybe the teachers union will start sending out pro-democrat newsletters to all the children and their families, see how that goes over.

Seriously depressing.

skrinkladoo 05-06-2008 08:01 AM

I'm not sure we will ever see the true numbers, then again who really needs to? Buy a gallon of gas, look at the house foreclosure market ... even the dollar menu at McD's is higher now. We feel the truth daily - Ouch!

Iron Fist 05-06-2008 08:03 AM

I hate fucking propaganda e-mail forwards. I told all ym friends, don't ever expect me to read a single forward - they get deleted as soon as they hit my inbox.

This State of the Union is way more scary .... :2 cents:

Tom_PM 05-06-2008 08:39 AM

Rep pres., rep congress = everything passes that the reps want. No Veto's.
Rep pres., dem congress = nothing passes that the dems want. Veto on Autofire.

dem pres., dem congress = everything passes that the dems want.

etc etc etc..

Once Clinton or Obama is president, things'll move again. Until the people vote the reps back to majority. Then it's back to clusterfuck status. I already predict beyond that to impeachment proceedings, lol. You know it's gonna happen.

What this does not tell you is that OTHER than the deportation of Mexicans, Home land security pays for a ticket for an agent to TAKE the person back to their country. Thats right they ESCORT them back. International flights to Europe etc means the agent has to spend the night in a hotel, and also eat. And get paid for his time. So how much do you think is being wasted there.

I just went to rally/education board meeting last night to save a neighborhood elementary school from closing. basically parents and teachers said their piece up on a podium to a table full of robot board of ed members who are just playing monopoly with the school system.

I was just thinking that if we didn't buy a few stupid fucking bombs that are mostly just displacing dirt over in Iraq, the school could be funded properly.

Yeah i saw Bush's "blame congress" tactics last week. It's not the fault of congress that oil is so high, it's the oil companies of squeeze and create a fake shortage of oil.

MediaGuy 05-06-2008 11:29 AM

Hah that's pretty funny - blaming it on the now-powerless congress because it's Demorat-dominated lol.

Bush has been by-passing congress or railroading most of his party's policy (I don't really think he actually has a hand in any of it) with little regard for the constitutional process since 9/11.

.

anybody get this one ?

What is a BILLION?

This is too true to be funny

The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth .

E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

Washington , D.C .. HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

Accounts Receivable Tax
Building Permit Tax
CDL License Tax
Cigarette Tax
Corporate Income Tax
Dog License Tax
Federal Income Tax
Federal &nb sp;Unemployment Tax (FUTA)

Gasoline Ta x
Hunting License Tax

Inventory Tax
IRS Interest Charges (tax on top of tax) ,
IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax),
Liquor Tax,
Luxury Tax,
Marriage License Tax,
Medicare Tax,
Property Tax,
Real Estate Tax,
Service charge taxes,

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

And I still have to 'press
1' for English.

I hope this goes around THE
USA at least 100 times

What the heck happened?????
