why do so many hide behind their Avatar
 

Not directed at anyone in particular but since GFY is so full of tough guys and mouth pieces, it shocks me how many elect to use cartoons etc as their avatars.
I use my real pic on all the boards and attend a few trade shows so anyone that wishes to speak to me can put a face to the name.
Why would anyone not take this oppurtunity to do the same.

I attend shows, people know who I am and what I look like. Personally they see enough of my face at shows and no need to expose people to more of it. Not all of us can be as purty in the mouth as you, ya know.

I use to, but when I did a search on my board name (which is also my email that I use to write to family) I saw me all over the place..... They know I do "internet advertising", but not shoot naked chicks and then advertise my paysites. So I replaced it with a pic I took from my trip to Maui a couple months ago.

i use my company logo as my avatar, I believe my real pic is posted as my profile pic

i like seeing people's faces as we chat here. When you see a face you tend to cut back on some of the nasty comments and it makes it look it more real life. Who likes fighting anyways? We are all here for business and for the buck.
