I won 10k on a slot machine in Vegas yesterday
I just got back from the affiliate summit that was going on in Vegas this week 10k richer(minus $1700 for uncle sam of course).
I always play slot machines just for fun b/c the odds are so bad. We stopped by MGM to have dinner with a client and as I was walking by this one machine, I asked the group to let me play $10.00 on the $1 slots. On my second max bet, I hit the jackpot! It was a fantastic feeling to actually walk away from Vegas a winner:) They wanted to give me cash but I told them to just cut me a check.... Anyone else ever win on slots? |

What felt even better was the fact that I was being razzed about playing slots because no one ever wins. Their faces were classic when I won---totally stunned:-0

I personally blew $26,000+ USD in 2007 alone (mostly penny slots). Sure I won $600 of my money back every time I lost $3,500 - which is what keeps some people going (even though that makes no sense at all!). I got on the Missouri self-exclusion list last Wednesday. I am no longer allowed to play in a Missouri casino (banned myself for life by choice). I became an addict. Good luck! |

I've only seen a machine pay out big once, and I'm not so sure it was a jackpot... the guy looked like a seasoned gambler, the bet was the maximum (something like 30 rows x 5 credits x $0.50 credit), he won something like $1500 and although he was pleased he wasn't exactly jumping around. Makes you wonder how much he's fed into that machine just to win that much. :Oh crap
I play for fun but I've seen plenty of people wander between machines, putting in a $50 or $100 note each time and leaving it 30 seconds later as their credit runs out. |

Way to go! It seems like the really big payouts happen to the casual non-addicted player. I once won a $500 on the dollar mach. followed by a $750 a few pulls later at Circus Circus on that big oversized machine. Took the cash and stopped pissing it back to the house. Congrats!!

I've always had good luck on the MGM slots. $5000K is my biggest win though. The "golden lions" or something like that are my favorite. They have the MGM lion logo in the slots. |

When I was in Vegas, I won $999 on a 1c machine. The lady giving me my money looked at me like a freak. She said couldn't you have atleast put $1 in the machine to make it an equal $1000. I told her I didn't have a dollar on me. She marked something down on paper and I was told to leave. Never going back to Paris hotel. :( |
