dreamweaver or frontpage

Which one do you use dreamweaver or frontpage ? I like to use dreamweaver, I think it has more options then frontpage. What are your toughts.

Ice 02-25-2008 05:19 PM

Frontpage sucks ass.

Dreamweaver is much better but nothing beats learning html from scratch.

webgurl 02-25-2008 05:20 PM

i used both and although alot of peeps would say frontpage
is for neeewbs i prefer that still . Although, The frontpage i use
has weird code sometimes that shows up in HTML
that generates itself on its own .

Dirty F 02-25-2008 05:21 PM

I used Frontpage 98 or something like that forever...never needed anything else. Tried DW back in the day, hated it. But thats ages ago. Now i'm using Frontpage 2003 because i lost the old version when moving to a new puter.
It does everything i need in the most direct simple way. If you make normal websites without crazy stuff then it's a good program.

Elli 02-25-2008 05:21 PM

dreamweaver

Farang 02-25-2008 05:21 PM

Switched from frontpage to dreamweaver few years ago.. I like it more

True...its the only negative thing i can about say FP. I can make some goddamn messy code on its own. Double tags and all sorts of BS. I doesn't change your wegpage but if you like 100% clean code then dont use FP.

teg0 02-25-2008 05:37 PM

Neither one. Just find a good text editor with syntax support.

Xrated J 02-25-2008 05:42 PM

Vick! 02-25-2008 05:45 PM

tony286 02-25-2008 06:04 PM

they dont make frontpage anymore, my wife has used fp since we started and she loves it.

SlickRick 02-25-2008 06:17 PM

I use dreamweaver and note pad. but I do use front page when I need a table, because DW doesn't let me make a few tables I need at times.

MandyBlake 02-25-2008 06:26 PM

Its nice to know how to code as well, but I cant see many people being able to integrate RSS feeds into a page with notebook. :)

Bojangles 02-25-2008 10:44 PM

Both. Used to prefer Frontpage. Haven't messed with the new DW too much, but it looks good.

I use Frontpage 2000

sexykat 02-26-2008 02:52 AM

Frontpage codes the same thing that can be coded in 1/3 of lines of code

Dreamweaver rocks all the way

munki 02-26-2008 03:12 AM

I still handcode for the most part, but have always used for the most part Dreamweaver as an extra tool.

Helps you catch errors, and keeps your layouts clean with minimal work imho.

Nothing beats knowing the code in and out, but every little tool that helps you get there quicker is time and money in the bank.

Jens Van Assterdam 02-26-2008 03:16 AM

dreamweaver for sure :) Theres nothing better yet!

V_RocKs 02-26-2008 03:31 AM

Front page? WTF??? People still use that shitty software?

I did in the beginning but back in the beginning Dreamweaver was very buggy and had no real advantages.

Now it is loaded with them. The main one being that FrontPage hasn't been updated in years...

qxm 02-26-2008 04:25 AM

notepad is da bomb!

Voxxe 02-26-2008 04:30 AM

viencarl 02-26-2008 05:25 AM
