If you are like me you were wondering why Apple increased the memory out of the blue on the iPhone when the Apple conference was just last month.


Now I see why, they saw this thing coming:

Nice phone.. I like my HTC6800 alot... Have WM6.1 on it with a hacked ROM so the GPS is fully fuctional now...

This is true. I think it has less to do with the product, and more to do with the brand.


I know you are a young whippersnapper ;) so you may not remember how back in the 80's and early 90's people used to look at Sony products the same way they do Apple's products today.

i think the iphone and ipod and very nice products but where is the accountability where Apple as a corporation is concerned? I can't understand how they get away with making a phone with a non-replaceable battery not to mention tying said phone to a single network on a ludicrously priced 18 month contract.

And now ... Apple entusiasts and enjoy the worlds slimmest laptop ... again with a non replaceable battery; albeit the batter can be "repaired" at a cost by your nearest Apple store and within a reasonable 5 day turnaround.

Like I said, I think their product designs are nice, but not at the costs levied.

My contract is for about the same price as my old Verizon one and that was just for phone service.

I have Sony Ericsson P1i and its pretty good competition to Iphone already, touch screen, video, camera, internet+icq/msn/yahoo/ and more chat clients. Will wait to upgrade for that XPERIA X1 QWERTY !

The iPhone is its own genre and is meant to make people who would have otherwise had a normal phone cross over into the true mobile pocket pc device zone that wouldn't have before. The haters of the iPhone typically already have a mobile PC device that they're happy with. The device from Sony shown above won't make anyone with an iPhone get rid of it, that's for f*ck sure.
