Why would a company risk everything using someone else's copyrighted music?

Dawson Miller also has a cute trailer, and they use the "That's Girl" theme song in the background. It's like inviting a lawsuit that can put you out of business...I don't get it.

as far as the music goes, you can pretty much uses any song you want in spurts.. however you have last i known to be like only 10 seconds you can use before you must pay any royalties..... that did seem like more than 10 seconds, but if it was just a loop it might not count.. not sure there either

Hey, just found this thread. Thanks for the love :) brookemarks.com has been going strong for over a year and a half now; she just did a great "Anything But Clothes" camshow for members about an hour ago.

The computer voice at the end saying "Brooke Marks the Spot" is a reference to the NEDM joke at YTMND.com. Brooke is a ytmnd junkie, and so are quite a few of her regulars.

The same designer did both Brooke Marks and Dawson Miller. I think it's clear he leaned too heavily on the same font and camera cut outs when he did the work for both. :( He was new at this back then, and was chewed out from all sides.

Nope you can only use the clip if the original song is 25 years or older with the exception of a few artists like Elvis Presley or The Beatles, those one's their studios have reapplied for 99 year copyrights...
