12 out of 175 isn't too bad but it seems to only be determined by life expectancy and economy. So it is not a big surprise the US has fallen 4 spots since last year.

Yeah, there'll always be a rational reason for it, unless the US was number 1 in which case, any other country who wasn't would be just making up excuses.

Spent enough time in Saudi Arabia to know it is an interesting place to visit, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to live there.

huh? when i went to usa it was the tits. restuarants, 4x4's and really nice neighbourhoods. this was in 1999 and thats not that long ago

Apparently the american warning of us allowing gay marriage and smoking weed has turned Canada into a horrible country. Better dollar and now top marks to live in. Maybe USA should adopt a few things like smoking weed to relax a bit more?
