Who is up for a class-action suit against megarotic?
Remember you will most likely need legal money up front.
Who is in? |
isn't that German guy in Hong Kong?
where u going to file it? california? |
Any company that is proudly sponsored by our friend at Adult Friend Finder, is legit enough for me. :)

I dont think so it's free porn
|
The thread title sounds like "So... i'm bored, wanna go sue someone we don't like today?" - any caselaw on the books for this sort of thing? Is it even winnable? Are they located in a country that doesn't give a fuck?
If your trying to be serious, then let's get a serious thread going here... otherwise.... Who cares. |

Find some grounds to stop their cash flow and they'll close up shop, its much easier and cheaper to do than getting a class action suit.

Sounds like a good project, but I don't have standing.

You most likely won't be able to do shit if he's in China. Therefore I'd target his sponsors (which there is legal precedence for) and potentially the processor and hosts.
|
US lawsuit against China?
Don't think that would work BUT, as far as I know pornography is illegal in China.. think from the other end - theoretically they could get busted by the Chinese government (if they really are in Hong Kong) Any lawsuit like this would be a very interesting precedent for sure.. |
It's probably triad or serious government business

I couldn't join the "class" because I don't own any content and therefore have no cause of action against them.
I would however be supportive of any type of "legal fund" that was put together for this purpose after the case was filed. :thumbsup |
I can not post URLS but its
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Schmitz who Jay is thinking of. I have no idea if he owns it but he had a cool website back in the day and was active in the gumball 2000 stuff |
this will never get done. It never does.
|
Despite the whole content theft thing you've got to have some respect for guys who can push something to that level.

hmm the fact that he is in china and operates a porn site is enough for chinese law to arrest/ convict him I tought ?
|
I'd prefer to send my lawyers Leroy Brown and Andre Jackson of Smith, Wesson and Rutger LLP.
|
There are SOME adult companies who agressively persue this sort of thing, but we are really relying on them. Most likely nothing will ever be done.

I would be interested in contributing to something like this. Not able to join the class action part.
In other industries I have worked in we have lobbyist who try and get laws changed to protect our interests. Has anyone thought about something like that or contributing to the ones that the regular movie and music industry have? |
Dropping them a line about the illegal porn operation they have running.
