n*i*gger King [picture] hahahahahaha
http://anacondacocks.com/upload/nigsking.jpg
OK OK you got me. This is not my own picture, but it's a friend of mine that took this when he went on vacation to Taiwan during the summer, and I had to show it here. This is a store in a Tawain shopping centre, which promotes clothes that black people are most likely to wear. There is nothing wrong with that, unless you look at the NAME OF THE STORE!! That word is not appropriate to use unless it is a black person that says it to another black person, or if a white says it jokingly to his black friend. Other than that, it is very disrespectful to use, especially in a country that probably has no black residents. http://www.flickr.com/photos/17645542@N07/1834700571/ |
Where my niggard's at?
This is totally racist WTF . What were they thinkin

No room for ambiguity in Taiwan apparently.
In most asian countries it is normal to call a person who is dark the N word... or Negra (female) or Negro (male). It does'nt seem to be racist.
That's absolutelys shocking, but no that surprizing
wow that's some sign

It comes from the Spanish for Black. ( negro ) The Spaniards called the dark natives Negros they saw when they where trading with Asia during the Slik Road or Silk Route. So it goes back 100's of years and is not considered racist at all. |
When I was in the Middle East for a short while they used to ask me often whether we had 'n*iggers in Australia'.
they dont fuckin speak english in taiwan so they have no idea that it is not ok . .
meh who cares. I remember when my crayons use to say "hahahahahaha Brown" and I'm not that old. I don't get all the hoopla surrounding the word.
In isreal they have a line of jeans called CRAP.. I thought that was funny
Most people there probably don't know the real meaning
Store owners probably think that word is equivalent to "bro"
That's not racist. In fact I'd consider it a compliment. It just shows that they enjoy black culture and fashion. I don't think they see it as derogatory or as a slur since they have very few black people over there. Think about the last time you saw Pulp Fiction or Shaft, they glorify the N word. Besides, they speak Chinese over there.

pretty cool

lol is it a franchise? that's nuts
well i think it just depends on how the people interprets the name of the store. If their reason was "which promotes clothes that black people are most likely to wear" then, there's nothing wrong with it. well we just need a comment from a black person here. imho. :)
there was a woman in Toronto that bought a couch set that was made in Taiwan, but sold here in Canada. well when she got the couch set , she noticed on the couch tag that the colour was called hahahahahaha Brown. she happened to be black & called all the news stations. I dont think they think its a bad word
