Just to make it official: I am now a RUDE girl

Some of you already know, but I wanted to make it official:
I'm now a "Rude" girl and I love it! :upsidedow

http://www.rude.com

It's only been a couple of weeks now that I've taken on the role of
marketing manager and what a whirlwind it has been! I'm still getting my feet
wet, but I'm quickly getting up to speed and ready to do some biz!!
I'm excited to have found a home with a great team, a ton of traffic,
and a killer bundle of cool programs on the horizon! I look forward to
doing new and exciting business with all my old friends (and some new ones!). We're flying high on Alexa and I am looking for some diverse
advertisers to bring on board. If you are looking for killer traffic,
I'm your girl. :winkwink: chandie@rude. com

Can't wait to see you all at Webmaster Access! :)

tons of copyrighted material on rude also.. Do I email you for removal of that too?

candyflip 11-07-2007 02:37 PM

Looks like there's a lot of unlicensed stuff posted by members on your site. Not sure what sort of response that is going to get here.

Good luck regardless.

We quickly and happily remove any copyrighted material.

Is that only if the copyright holder contacts you or if it's obvious and you see it?

Thanks, however it is very sad that I have to go through your site (or the one you are representing) to see if no one is using my content, then if they do I have to contact you and then you will remove it. And hopefully remove the user, however I doubt the user will be removed, he will simply grab some more content somewhere else and play "dumb".

I have way to much work to do to "hunt" for my own content on other peoples sites. Do you guys have anything in place to prevent this abuse?

_Danielle_ 11-07-2007 02:42 PM

Chandie!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've missed you! Will you be going to LA???

See my link above to answer that question.

The answer to your question is both...though we don't review uploads
before they are posted.

But I'm not really here to get into a debate. Like us or hate us, I'm part
of the team. Those who know me know my history. I'm proud to be a
part of Rude and hope someday to find a way to do biz with you.

I'll save the debate for another thread on another day.

Peace out. :)

NICE!!!!.. :thumbsup

Already running from a few simple questions, questions that involve the business you are representing.

I guess this RUDE company does it's name honor.

CuriousToyBoy 11-07-2007 02:47 PM

Welcome back beautiful ;-)

A professional and moral way to run your business is to only use your own material if you can't do that maybe you should up your development budget or make a living in another field.

I was just curious to know if you were going to take a position in that would benefit the folks you're hitting up here or not. Copyrighted material is on your site, was pointed out to you and you choose to run from any debate.

I love the site and idea. There's just a right way and a wrong way...and this doesn't seem like the right way to me.

benoitlc666 11-07-2007 02:49 PM

How do all the other free video sites handle the copyrighted material that's being updloaded? The Terms for Rude seem to be pretty clear about that, the question is how can it be enforced?

gregtx 11-07-2007 02:53 PM

wow.. congrats and good to see ya.. see you in LA next week :)

They pretty much take anything. Chandie said it herself, there's no review process or monitoring of what "members' upload. That site is LOADED with content posted my folks who don't own the copyright. Rude and other sites like that will leave the content there, playing dumb, until the owner of the copyright tracks them down or send a cease and desist. Until that time, they will continue to and have no problem profiting off of the work of other people.

At least that's how I see it, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Man I hope they are paying you alot to sell your soul. lol Also its not a debate if something you created with your sweat, blood and money was given away, wouldnt you be pissed?

Mr. Romance 11-07-2007 02:55 PM

Congradulations Chandie! See you in LA!

Mr. Romance

Sebastian Sands 11-07-2007 02:56 PM

Ok Chandie, let me bump this thread for you.

There are just to many things on that site that don't make sense, look at your advertising alone, you charge people an arm and a leg for banner/text spots. But a RUDE user that has chips/tokens can turn off the ads.

Speaking of chips, you are charging a user chips, so he can get content? Am I right? So you are charging for content that is not yours. And you're running away from "the debate"? I can find your "introduction" on every other board and hunt you with these questions if I want to, but I won't I have no time for this. I simply asked a few questions and you chose to "not debate".

Do not take this as a personal attack, you came in here representing this company and I am asking you these questions as so.

I am not sure what you mean by" those who know me", this has NOTHING to do with the company you are representing. Just because you worked for "Jenna" doesn't mean shit.

Sebastian

Kelly's a rude girl:

http://www.rude.com/KellyKayne

One thing that bothers us about rude is that whenever anyone updates anything from your friends list it sends you and private msg, so everyday you're flooded with mail.

Also whats with the huge amount of fat black girls on there?!?

ChandieGirl 11-07-2007 02:59 PM

Listen guys, I'm not running from debate. I understand the
complexity of the issues and I will welcome that conversation
with you, just not here in this thread. Call me, email me, icq me...
I am a *listener* and I am more than capable of shouldering a criticism or two.

I'll keep it short and say that I *heart* Rude...as a surfer and an industry insider.
We are sooo much more than a file sharing site.
(in fact, that is a small part of what we do!)

We are an online social community that even I've quickly become
addicted to...and certainly not because I'm looking for pirated content.
It's fun, interactive and evolutionary for our industry in alot of ways.
Do some users upload content they don't have rights to? Yes.
Do we immediately remove that content the minute we are made aware of it?Yes.

But the bottom line is, I'm not here to argue. I'm a nice girl, even if
I'm "rude". I know nothing about your biz, who you are, or what you do.
Take the time to get to know me and let's chat in a forum not filled
with bravado. You might be surprised what you find.

Why not start be removing the copyrighted content owned by the owners of this board instead of profiting from it. Simple as that.

eroswebmaster 11-07-2007 03:01 PM

LOL you guys won't get answers, however you'll get to refresh and watch the ass kissers come in here and do their thang.

BradM 11-07-2007 03:02 PM

Guys, lay off. Fucking christ, she JUST got with the company. Why not contact her like she asked?

Chandie is a damn nice girl and will help you out. Knowing her personally I can say she's not a fluffer or a BS'er. So lay off this thread and let's be gentlemen, yes?

You are digging your hole only deeper and deeper, you don't know nothign about me or my company. Don't play dumb. We have dealt with each other before. But ok, let's say you do not know me or what I do .. whatever, i do not care.

How can you even say, filesharing is only a small part of what we do? This is really pissing me off.

if your a "industry insider" then you have no excuse for not knowing the pain giving away content causes. The bigger question would be are you alright with the industry getting screwed because your getting a check?

Of course she's ok with it. She's completely aware of what is going on there and chooses to continue business as usual.

You're right eros, the asskissers abound.

Please reference my male vs female ass kissing threads. I RARELY kiss ass (you're an idiot, for example) let alone more female than male. I don't know you, I don't care to know you - as you seem like an asshole.

Let me summarise her post: I don't care what the company does, I have a new job and thought I'd do some spamming for them. Please pass all hard questions to someoneelse, unless you're a bro.

Oh for fucks sake, you guys! lol

You want an honest answer? I'll give you one.
I'm still working on answering your questions.
I'm not prepared to answer because I'm not sure I would
do it correctly.

I'm BRAND new!

I came from running an affiliate program and am learning each day...
and NO, I don't think I'm hot shit because I worked for Jenna.
It's not exactly like I was running Silvercash. :1orglaugh

But the bottom line is that the guys behind Rude are SOLID. I
jumped into Rude and I liked it, on a personal level. My Rude space
became my new MySpace. It's a fun community and I NEVER watch
our videos. Lord knows I've seen enough porn in my day. lol

I'm not prepared today to answer your questions, but if you have one
for me, please email it to me and I will get you an answer as
I learn myself.

That's the best I can do. I was just stopping in to say hi.

I *heart GFY
