Full moon cycles and wackos
Although I realize modern science has never proven a direct cause-and-effect between the full moon cycle and an increase in wacky human behavior, but there are many times I really question their conclusions.
Any one else think there's definitely some connection between a full moon and craziness? |
I see it in women all the time..crazy she devils
|
No and I follow the science of it as well.
People just recall it better due to rarity of the full moon. Though people will hop in here and post stats (ussually wrong or disproven) about ER's or 911 calls etc. Hell even cops and paramedics fall for that shit, despite stats showing otherwise. Fuck even many people think the moon is closer (looks bigger) when full, though if you tilt your head or look at it upside down it will shrink back up again. Nevermind I am rambling. :) |
I belive its due to pressue, while it has not been directly proven .. statisticly it has.
Another possible theory is the moonlight, it is so bright you dont want to sleep it gives u an ennoying kind of energy |
My mom is a nurse and she used to work at a psychiatric hospital and she claims it's true. She said anytime they had a full moon the patients were much more trouble.

the moon is 3/4 of the reason we have tides...
I believe we are made up of at least 80% water and when the moon is at its peak things get a little more intense for two legged mammals. |

We are 80 percent water, though please keep in mind we are also not the size of a large lake let alone an ocean. Both of which are also effected by the turning of the Earth as well as the moon, though the moon is moving away and has been since the planets collided in the first place. |
I completely believe that the moon has something to do with craziness when it's full.......I have seen it too many time no tto believe it!!!

I am 100% sure it does affect behaviour in a way . . just like the tides are affected by the stance of the moon human behaviour is aswell

With all due respect ASM, I don't think stats always reveal an accurate assessment of the phenom. I tend to give more weight to anecdotal stories from those who closely work closely with people on the street at all hours of the day and night. But that's just me. I have a lot of cop buddies I talk to on a daily basis, many of whom I consider highly intelligent and not prone to exaggeration or embellishment. And some of the stories I hear about their experiences during full moon cycles always makes me pause to think. Our local police department sometimes puts additional manpower on shift during full moon phases, just to handle the anticipated weirdness and additional incident calls. You mentioned in one of your replies about "supernatural". I don't put it in that sort of category, though. I think if anything...its purely scientific - having to do with the minute effects of lunar gravitational effect on the fluids in the brain. I often work a nightshift myself and see a correlation between the lunar cycle and the mentality/attitudes of people I encounter during the course of the evening. |
i love the smell of pussy during a fool moon :thumbsup

I think this picture is proof positive that things do get wacky as they cycle around the full moon :winkwink:

There is strong anecdotal evidence.

Just because people waste money or put extra men on does not mean it is true. Hell case in point, how many X-ray offerings will pop up this Halloween in regards to candy yet AGAIN? What about popular wivestales or urban legends as well? However if that is still highly held, someone please show me the increased stats during a new moon. Since obviously there should be some, we are 80% water after all and the gravity does pull on the tides right? (just using same arguements). |

And yet you come here saying that you think its possibly true?? Really, who are you trying to fool? Its really kind of stupid to ignore the facts and just keep hoping its true, because thats what you are doing. Many people want it to be true. |

Look at the picture and you will see that the bar in the background is called the " Full Moon " and the guys on the motobikes are " cycling " past the " Full Moon ". Now look at the red truck. Notice that it has TWO front ends. What looks like the front is really the rear. See the red tail lights where the head lights should be. It is actually driving from right to left. That makes that truck " Wacky ". So this picture is proof positive that things do get wacky as they cycle around the full moon :1orglaugh http://www.thewoop.com/public_html/promo/images/18.jpg |
