I got my iPhone yesterday and.....
 

...it fUCKING ROCKS. The best piece of technology I've ever had in my arms. So fucking brilliant device.... Safari is outstanding, ipod coverfolow is neat, wifi is rocking big time, easy configuration to use edge and not to mention great program for mail...keep track of all your mails w/o need to connect to server and fetch list of mails ever!

Camera is great too! Amazing pictures! Too bad it can't record video ;( And for the end 3rd party applications are beautiful! Appolo IM client allows you to connect to icq, msn, aim! It's sooo cool progie. There comes Nintendo simulator too...good to remember good ole days when we all played our nintendo and super mario hit :)

What should i tell you guys..... Definitely the best phone (if we can ever call it phone :) ) I've ever had! Buy it, you won't regret it :)

Oh and don't update to 1.1.1 firmware if you are using unlocked devices, at this time there is still no jailbreak for 1.1.1 (altho. you can downgrade it to 1.0.2 and perform jailbreak w/o problems)!

There's a jailbreak for 1.1.1, I upgraded my phone which was unlocked with IPSF.

But overall, I agree 100%, best phone I've ever had.. Fuck the haters!

well i read that it just allows 3rd part apps....not performing full 1.1.1 (still you'll have to downgrade to 1.0.2 to jailbreak it and then update back to 1.1.1)....

The Dev Team released a full 1.1.1 jailbreak.. Now you won't have to downgrade to jailbreak it, if you don't want.

I'm getting the Ipod Touch 16 Gb from Traffic Gigolos (thanks Justin!) ! I can't wait to receive it !

I didn't want the Iphone because I don't need it, and I needed more space (16Gb) for my videos and music !

And since the Itouch have been jailbreak, all the cool apps from the Iphone are now on the Itouch!

lol! i had both of them, htc tytn II and iphone.

iphone can't compare to htc. mac os has a lack of programs, with windows mobile you can run virtually anything you want. there's plenty of programs and games...

there's no 3G on iphone which sucks! no video calls at all... it's even silly to compare it with 3.6mbps on HSDPA on htc. that's like trying to compare dialup and broadband! are you really going to use Web2.0 apps on iphone through EDGE network (since it's not 3G complaint), which provides the data speed ranging from 80 kbps to 110 kbps? nope! :1orglaugh

no qwerty keyboard, so you have to use the pen which is sometimes pain in the ass. when you get bored of using the pen on htc, just flip out the keyboard and voila, you are ready to go... :) on-screen keyboard may be hard to use (hard to type on such a small surface with your thumbs)

no expandable memory. personally i think 8GB is enough memory, but the for ipod video lovers, its a dissadvantage... on there other side there's micro sd slot on htc.

cannot install third party software. there's no windows mobile, which is iphone dissadvantage. just try to compare number of available programs for win mobile and os x? :1orglaugh do i have to mention pocket office (word, excel, outlook, pdf viewer...)? do i have to mention that you can play for example age of empires and simcity 2000 virtually anywhere? :)

1.9MPix on iphone and 3.15Mpix with autofocus on htc (htc has better sharpness and night mode picture quality).

built in gps navigation on htc (ever heard of tomtom?) and i'm not sure if there's an option to use it even with an external gps device on iphone?!

htc has much better wifi, better range and sensitivity (i tried it in various conditions, spent couple of days in playing).

no removable battery. if the battery is broken, you send the phone to apple instead of they sending you the battery, which sucks.

htc battery stand-by time is 400 h and talk time is up to 9h on GSM or 6h on 3G, which is better comparing to iphone (250h and 8h talk time on GSM). no need to mention that there's double capacity battery for htc. :)

htc has wired remote control on the headphones.

htc has a jog dial.

the only advantage i was able to find on iphone was trivial:

it's better designed. it looks better, it does not have better functionality.

it's a bit thinner and has better default shell (widgets and web 2.0 design). go with Spb Mobile Shell (a win program), 1-2-3 - problem solved and there you go: htc is much more functional than an iphone! (just one of numerous windows mobile advantages!)

no need to talk about the price of an iphone. you end up paying somewhere close to a decent laptop.

i hope a lot of windows users with iphones make the switch.

i got one too few weeks ago. It's pretty good, but the security is weak, a lot of passwords are stored non-encrypted and this is a major concern. What's more every application that runs on iphone has root priviledges so it takes only one bad to fuck both with your iphone, privacy and so on.

iPhone can run 3rd part apps, as well as having GPS via wireless. Mac OS X is way better than crappy windows mobile. Display is multi touch so it can do whatever you want.... motion sensors rock too! Just flip the device and there you go, you can view pics in landscape format..... should I mention intelligent and amazing looking coverflow. This is revolutionary device, take that or not, like it or not.

It would be rediculous to compare it with classic mobile phones and other touch screen devices, because it's way more than just a phone and a mobile device. Haters can only suck dick, because better "phone" cannot be found on market right now. Period.

i've never hated apple. there are plenty of shiny good looking functional stuff they've made. when i've bought an ipod nano i was happy as a kid can be, but but i realized it's much more useless than useful, so now it's burried somewhere in the dust... :)
