The fucking do gooders here in Ontario Canada, just brought in legislation. If you do 50km over limit, they will impound your car for a week plus a hefty fine2-3k. Second offence they will seize the car and and destroy it.:disgust The speed limit now is 100km per hr (about 60 miles) Fuck them and the people who elected them:321GFY Big brother is alive and well and living in Canada:mad:

pornask 10-07-2007 11:47 AM

much cheaper than Veyron.. and looks worse

Iron Fist 10-07-2007 12:03 PM

Nice car... I think id have to pay my entire life savings just to insure it for a month

FTVGirls_Rob 10-07-2007 12:09 PM

I was offered it... but consider this:

(comments from my own message board about it):

"It looked kinda cheap and kit-carish to me. for the money...I would get an LP640 roadster, a new S600 and a 1000hp 911 turbo that would beat the bejesus out of that thing"

"That thing is a peice of ****. I met the arrogant builder of this car in FL. Don't beleive the hype, their "claimed" performance figures have not been documented (IE: it's not as fast as they say it is) It is EXTREMELY kit carish. It looked the same 4 years ago when I first saw it."

"I'm diggin' the pleather..."

"I'd go drive it if they offered but I can tell just from the pics that interior is cheesy as hell. And come on, for $550K are you really not going to tell what kind of motor is in there? I mean 387ci, it could be a stroked TT Chevy motor for all we know.
Its got a nice shape but thats it."

"Just out of curiosity, have you ever checked out the Saleen S7? Kind of yesterdays news, but N. Scotts Ford had one a month or so ago and thats a pretty kick ass car."

"That car is a hunk of shit. The builder started out building Lambo kit cars, and that is what the body is based off."

anyways, I think its a good looking car, but look how low it is to the ground. Absolutely impractical to drive, and not as safe cruising at 200mph compared to the Veyron.

peterk 10-07-2007 12:11 PM

woww ... awesome car! allmost sexy

DaddyHalbucks 10-07-2007 01:58 PM

It's not bad looking actually. Reminds me a bit of the Acura NSX.

Rui 10-07-2007 02:11 PM

Anybody comparing this thing to the Veyron needs their head checked FAST!

I am sick of hearing the cops bragging about this on the news. Apparently they are nailing an average of one person with this new street racing law about every 25 minutes in Ontario since the beginning of this weekend. One cop was even laughing on the news because he charged a 17 year old kid with it and the kid started to cry because it was his mother's car they impounded. Now that kid is not going to be able to afford insurance and is basically screwed.

I don't know how these laws even get passed. Who the hell is coming up with this shit?

The police use the excuse that they are trying to protect us. Well what about the people's lives they are ruining with these absurd charges?

No car for a week, large fines (up to $10,000 max, minimum 2K), plus I even heard they are calling your insurance company to personally inform them that you have been charged with street racing. This could put a lot of people into bankruptcy or even make them lose their house.

Plus they can charge you with street racing for basically anything they want, they are leaving it up to their own discretion. I heard one person locally was charged with this just for squealing his tires. Hopefully charges like that will be thrown out of court. That shouldn't warrant anything more than a $100 unnecessary noise charge.

The sad thing is that now that the law is in place, we will be stuck with it forever. No politician is going to try to reverse something like this.

FUCK THE POLICE.

/end off topic rant

anyone wanna come to germany for a nice 250km/h trip?? :Graucho

WarChild 10-07-2007 03:22 PM

There's a simple way in Ontario to not get your car impounded and yada yada, it's called driving like an adult and not a child with some inflated sense of self entitlement.

There's no fucking need for you to be doing 150 in a 100 zone. If you're going to, you have to be prepared to pay the price.

Zuzana Designs 10-07-2007 03:29 PM

Damn thats a hot fucking car !!!

Drake 10-07-2007 03:35 PM

Why the need to drive so fast unless you're racing?

Have you ever driven on the 401? You have to drive 40 km/h over just to keep up with the flow of traffic in certain areas.

I am sick of living in what is quickly becoming a police state. That's always their answer..... tax and fine everyone into being a good little person.

The last thing we need is more (and harsher) laws.

What's next, chopping off the arms of shoplifters? Of course you can avoid that by not shoplifting, but that doesn't mean I want that law on the books.

evildick 10-07-2007 03:48 PM

They also just spent 2 million of our tax dollars for an OPP plane for the sole purpose of shooting radar at cars from the air. I guess they have to make the fines so high to pay for rubbish like this.

That'd be fun. There are no roads like that around here though.

Get used to it, you live in a nanny state. If you didn't idiots would be killing themselves, and others as a result, left right and center.

People are fundamentally stupid and need to be protected by the state. That's just the way it goes.

Unfortunately that school of thought is what seems to be causing all our problems. :(

WarChild 10-07-2007 04:05 PM

When I was 19 I used to complain about the cops, how they were so unfair and I got so many tickets and what not. Now, I'm an Adult, and for some reason the Police don't seem to be on my case all the time. I wonder if they changed or I did?

evildick 10-07-2007 04:13 PM

It's not an issue of cops "being on people's cases" all the time. It's an issue of unnecessarily harsh laws and excess taxation. I can't remember the last time I had a speeding ticket. That's not the issue at all.

i don't know, but maybe because if you lose control you could KILL YOURSELF?!

you'd rather fly down the road 150mph then stay alive? nice priorities

I don't think anyone here is complaining about not being able to do 150 mph whenever they want without consequence.

These stupid laws are in place for people doing as low as 150 km/h in a 100 km zone, which is only around 93 MPH.

The fine for doing that used to be around $300.

Now they have changed it to a minimum of $2000 (max $10,000) which is absurd.

why would anyone in their right mind want to go 93mph+? do you ever think about the consequence if you lose control and kill someones son or daughter coming home from school? maybe they should make the laws even more strict, like charge you for attempted vehicular man slaughter since you could possibly kill someone doing that shit, stick to the speedlimit, its idiots like you who make these laws arise anyways...

funny - over here they don't seem to die every day in thousands although there are still highways without speed limit. maybe we just drive better?
