lol NO, not that fast .. but may be in Dec 2008 if US didn't change its attitude toward the rest of the world and/or attack Iran or North Korea. :2 cents:

Shouldn't it be the opposite! With a low US dollar, you should be buying more US assets.

The Judge 10-26-2007 05:27 PM

are we there yet?

Ron Bennett 10-26-2007 06:07 PM

Sounds about right way things are going ... here's my prediction on other currencies ... British pound will top out around $2.10 USD while the Euro, if it breaks though the $1.50 level, will skyrocket to nearly $2 USD.

Ron

VeriSexy 10-26-2007 07:17 PM

Armageddon here we come!

V_RocKs 10-26-2007 07:19 PM

Why rub it in?

pocketkangaroo 10-26-2007 07:21 PM

If that ever happened, Canada would be in deep shit.

The Judge 10-26-2007 07:30 PM

That's good news for us, prices in the US remain the same but now everyone wants to buy American products cause they cost less! Devaluating the dollar was a very clever move to boost US economy.

Phil 10-26-2007 07:44 PM

Mother fucker.

spacedog 10-26-2007 07:48 PM

Living in Europe is hysterical.

All this shit about the wonders of the euro.
Germany
Italy
France
Holland
All want to go back to their original currency. WHY?

If your in Spain a bottle of wine is €3.00 and the same bottle in Germany is €5.00 and the same bottle in UK would be £4.00=€5.60.
The idea of having a US of E is ridiculous unless we all have the same taxation, costs etc..... Now with the likes of the new joinees of US of E like Poland/Romania/Bulgaria these countries are very nationalistic so they all pull in different ways.

In the US of A prices are pretty similar all across the country give or take a few % points. The people of the US of A refer to themselves as Americans, no-one in the US of E refers to themselves as Europeans.

The $ is low right now but it will turn and burn as the US of E fucks itself.

i am german, but i also feel as european. the different prices also have other reason than just taxation - local costs of living for example. and i like the euro, makes travelling a lot easier. the main problem at the moment is the weak USD - but that might change when the monkey is out of business next year

TSV 10-27-2007 10:13 AM

I agree.

They are trying to be a US of E with a single currency, single government etc... that's my point.

Clever? :1orglaugh

I'm not sure what kind of production powerhouse you think the US is today, no matter how low the US dollar is it will still be cheaper to manufacture overseas. Three words, "Made In China". The US is a bigger consumer than producer, if the US dollar tanks the US still gets hit the hardest.

A little economics 101, if you (or a country) are holding onto a sum of currency, and that currency becomes worth less to the rest of the world. You now have less currency which is a blow to the economy especially for countries like the US that rely so heavily on foreign imports.

Sure, US doesn't lead in "production", but "production" is really a 19th and 20th century concept... while chinese companies produce some worthless plastic shit with slave labor, US companies like for example google make money out of nothing...

hmm, US doesn't "hold onto a sum of currency", it's actually in debt...

TSV..What are you smoking can I have a little of it please.

Im european and describe myself as such, and why is living in europe hysterical.?

We get to travel to different countries without immigration problems and do business in one currency.

We are not the worlds biggest debtor that title belongs to the USA....and do you know who the biggest debtor owes the most $$$$ to ? CHINA..look it up..... so dont worry about europe ..we are doing just fine ... :thumbsup

The Judge 10-27-2007 12:54 PM

Most of the imports into the US is crap that no one really needs, we'll just have to stop buying imported shit and buy local products and this will strengthen our economy in the long run.
