why would the US deny Ahmadinejad from visting ground zero??
Ahmadinejad's scheduled address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday will be his third time attending the New York meeting in three years.
But his request to lay a wreath at ground zero was denied by city officials and condemned by politicians who said a visit to the site of the 2001 terror attacks would violate sacred ground. Police cited construction and security concerns in denying Ahmadinejad's request. Ahmadinejad told ''60 Minutes'' he would not press the issue but expressed disbelief that the visit would offend Americans. if he is doing it respectfully, why not let him? what happened to freedom? the guy is trying to communicate with us, why are we are not trying to meet him halfway? does bush want us to be at war simultaneously in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan? |
Of course he does
the dollar is getting low in value once again.. it needs the blood of women and children to get raised again |
Everything political in the US is done for show. The core issues rarely matter anymore.
The government and the media have done an awesome job of smearing Ahmadinejad over the past couple years. There is a fairly good sized segment of the US population that now believes he is literally the next Hitler. That he is going to invade Israel if given the chance and kill all the Jews. They also live in fear of him nuking the US. Get real! He was blocked from visiting ground zero because of the construction. They'd have to shut it down for the whole day and that wasn't going to happen. He can still visit ground zero in the tourist areas. Attempting to stop the college speech is what has pissed me off. They say he has no right to be here, but what about the rights of Americans who for whatever reason want to hear him speak? If you know a Republican who is upset over this, ask them what they'd think about a group of Americans attempting to block the Pope from speaking. See, freedom works both ways. |

it just quoted a random sentence from the original post |
Because USA is a bunch of shit heads. Its not like our own country doesn't talk shit about jews. I bet even if he never said anything about jews people would still be all super-conservative about him visiting ground zero because everyone is so brainwashed by american media.
|
because the families of the 9/11 victims would be pissed off big time, that's the only reason I can think of, and alhtough technically they shouldn't be try to be in their shoes
I know for sure that if you kill a member of my family I'd hate you, your country, your nation, your religion, even your fucking dog |

what? .... dude?! ..... huh? let me clue to in to a little secret. politics in the US is no different than politics anywhere else. thats a little silly. are you so naive that you don't believe that his request wasn't about politics and stirring up shit for his own benefit and to appeal to his own political base? do you really believe that he thought it was going to be allowed? a country that openly sponsors terror is going to go lay a wreath at the site of the world single worst terrorist act... and thats supposed to be OK to all those who suffered and died?... and he really had no idea that a head of state, with its full entourage and security is going to head down to the construction site, stopping everything.... just to be an ass, wouldn't be denied? :disgust:disgust |

Iran no more openly sponsors terror than the USA does. Fact. |

as I said it's not justified, but I bet that's how 90% of the victims' families see it |

lol could you make yourself look more stupid? |

Seriously he's playing politics like Bush is. Both are talking to the ignorant fools who voted for them. Do you seriously think he would wipe out Israel? But it's a lovely excuse for Israel to buy more arms and Bush to tell the hicks that Iraq's part of the Axis of evil. How many countries has Ahmadinejad or Iraq invaded in the last 50 years? How many countries has Bush or the US invaded in the last 50 years? Whoops another silly question. The US were liberating. :1orglaugh Do you remember Bush lying to us about WMD, Saddam's terrorist links and how the Iranians would welcome an invasion? He was either lying to us or so stupid it scares me. |
god, what a bunch of fucking idiots.
i guess none of you care/realize it's a fact iran is killing americans in iraq and it's state sponsored from the top. do any of you understand the concept of freedom at all? fuck |

what the USA is, what the USA does, what you think they are and do, has nothing to do with this specific issue, the state and city of New York, the victims of 9/11 and another head of state and their own agenda. moron. |

Like I said, Iran is no more a sponsor of terror in the world today than is the US. I note that you offered nothing to refute that. I wonder why? Duh! Just a shame that the religion of most Americans is Americanism and they are too blind to see what is obvious to just about everyone else in the world. Fucking indoctrinated idiot. :1orglaugh |
Perfect comeback to all this shit was ironically on Dilbert's blog...lol
"I was happy to hear that NYC didn't allow Iranian President Ahmadinejad to place a wreath at the WTC site. And I was happy that Columbia University is rescinding the offer to let him speak. If you let a guy like that express his views, before long the entire world will want freedom of speech. I hate Ahmadinejad for all the same reasons you do. For one thing, he said he wants to "wipe Israel off the map." Scholars tell us the correct translation is more along the lines of wanting a change in Israel's government toward something more democratic, with less gerrymandering. What an ass-muncher!" "If Ahmadinejad thinks he can be our friend by honoring our heroes and opening a dialog, he underestimates our ability to misinterpret him. Fucking idiot. I hate him. " Continued :thumbsup |
Because he is not going there in memory of the victims but rather to commemorate and praise the hijackers.
I would punp sleeping gas through his NYC hotel room and implant his head with a micro listing device. The technology exist. |

let me recap for you. a head of state thats widely known to fund and sponsor terrorism wants to visit a site of the most significant terrorist event on the planet, in front of the worlds media to "lay a wreath at the site" .... BUT of course he also will give a short speech for his own political benefit about terrorism, US policies, "causes of terrorism" etc etc etc. to the worlds media who are fully covering the event. you can agree with him or dissagree with him all you want... but you are a total fucking idiot if you can't understand why a government, city and state, victims and all those affected wouldn't want to see that happen. if you have to call people brainwashed to make a point... then its because you have no point. otherwise, your arguments could stand on their own merit without you having to dismiss everyone as being robots for not agreeing with you. |
But wait if sponsoring terrorists is a bad thing, why do the saudi's get to stay at the white house?

Would you let Santa Claus tighten credit around Christmas? |
Actually Iran's national TV station has a mini-series this week about the Holocaust, haven't seen it myself yet, but I know it's online someplaces if you know where to look...
"It is Iran's version of "Schindler's List," a miniseries that tells the tale of an Iranian diplomat in Paris who helps Jews escape the Holocaust ? and viewers across the country are riveted. "based on a true story of diplomats in the Iranian Embassy in Paris in the 1940s who gave out about 500 Iranian passports for Jews to use to escape." http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...i120043D29.DTL |
