the make up came after he got popular, so its the other way around. as pointed out, he did videos with no make up for awhile....

I remember seeing it all the time on an old satellite video channel called Network One. Uncensored vids MTV wouldn't play...damn I miss that channel

I liked Manson's first album but couldn't do much with him after that. Although I read in Rolling Stone the recently how his latest album was good, and not count him out yet. Might have to give it a listen.

I've hung out with him a few times.

He's one of the smartest guys you will ever meet and he is as cool as they come.

I'm not into that whole make up/goth thing but it's part of his showbiz image and it worked well for him.
