I've always disliked american cars untill now. Might get one ---PICS---

Besides the muscle cars of the 60 and 70's I was never a huge fan of American cars. I've had a couple Mustangs when I was younger but thats about it.

Any-who, I think GM has finally hit the nail on the head with the 2008 CTS. This car will most probably out sell anything in its class...if they keep the price reasonable that is.

The more I read about it the more I want to get one. Read more about it at Mt (full review): http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...8_cadillac_cts

Check out these specs for the CTS-V

500HP (ZO6 Engine)
6 speed man.
1/4 mile mid 12's
0-60 low 4's

Not sure id spend 80K on it LOL, but those sure are some nice numbers for a 4 door sedan.

Sosa 09-02-2007 02:03 PM

very nice :)

Xplicit 09-02-2007 02:05 PM

American cars are fine if you ditch it before 75,000-100k miles.

From there expect one maintance problem after another. I swear they build these things so they fall apart on purpose.

Cum&Spam 09-02-2007 03:12 PM

Don't like it in the interior. Wood steerwheel, wood all over it, automatic gearbox... :X

Twisted Dave 09-02-2007 03:24 PM

I keep my cars 3 years tops and even after 3 years I hardly have 50,000 KMS on em. The problem I have with American cars is the "drive", you know...the loose steering feel and the rattles. But im pretty sure the caddy is not like that...at least for the first year or two hehe.

Shoehorn! 09-02-2007 05:46 PM

I liked the style of the DTS Cadillacs from a few years ago. The ones with the night vision built into the grill. Those were slick.

I priced the 07 at a little under 50K (im in Canada)....Full load with sport package. Im sure the 08 will go up a tad in price, especially with the new 300HP motor. Im expecting about 55K.

Don't like the painted wheel lips. Would look better with it all chrome. I did see pictures of one that was totally blacked out though, and that looked sweet. I believe it had black wheels as well.

mailman 09-02-2007 09:41 PM

Thats a fine looking ride right there :)

evildick 09-02-2007 09:51 PM

Here's the one I seen. I always like blacked out cars for some reason.
