Just another PW site. Just make sure you have the right tools in place and they can't cause much damage.

Why don't you call them and tell them so?

Opps. Better stick with posting on GFY, phones and you, well, you know, FRAUGHT with danger and someone would probably get hurt.

How is it the sponsors fault? When you sign up for a program you can promote right away. I imagine they probably have thousands of affiliates... they can't check every single website manually that a click comes from...

FakeNick 07-13-2007 11:41 PM

thanks for the free porn links

Create a script to check for where the surfers are coming from. If they come from *password* or *passes* or *torrent*, etc... flag the account... Then a human just need to check 10 accounts per day and can the offenders. Whitelist the ok ones...

Would take a programmer about 10 minutes and an employee about 1 hour a week.

like this you mean

PHP Code:

<?

// Redirect "password" traffic

$refer_full_path = "$HTTP_REFERER"."$PATH_INFO";

if(( preg_match("/pass/i", $refer_full_path)) ||
( preg_match("/passes/i", $refer_full_path)) ||
( preg_match("/password/i", $refer_full_path)) ||
( preg_match("/passwords/i", $refer_full_path))) {_

header("Location: $refer_full_path");
exit;_

?>

PHP Code:

<?
$words=array("pass","passes","password","passwords");
for($i=0;$i<count($words);$i++){
if(eregi($words[$i],$HTTP_REFERER)){
header("Location: http://www.adultfriendfinder.com");

?>

Too many would wise up to that and start sending the traffic to a, "Click here to continue" type of page on their own domain..

If they're making money from those sites, they'll figure out a way to keep doing it..

Penny24Seven 07-14-2007 06:39 AM

you really think program owners check every since link that sends them traffic? Some people are so fucking stupid. You should be contacting them and telling them so they will cancel their account.

Did i say that they all check every link.

Roald 07-14-2007 06:45 AM

setup a fake memberarea with only minimal access to content and leak the password to the site. Did you know some mayor sponsors actually provide access themselfs?

PW sites have always been around and I don't think they are a real treat at all if you have the proper protection for it.

You can always manipulate that traffic.

Password sites have been accepted since the beginning the difference today is that torrent sites may be replacing some of the binary newsgroups.

I often see folks asking sponsors to take responsibility and not support these sites but webmasters should also be asked not to support these sites as well. It has always been a practice for some webmasters to post their own passwords on password sites as well as dump watermarked content in newsgroups to build traffic. When I talk to some of these webmasters their response is that sales jump by as much as 20% by posting a password and monitoring it.

I was on a content shoot last month and one of the webmasters asked us to take time out to shoot some material for TGPs and torrent sites. Exclusive material was shot for posting on torrent sites and newsgroups.

Again, my point is that some webmasters are contributing to or taking advantage of the traffic generated by password and torrent sites.

everyone is too afraid to do anything about it.

the industry is killing itself, by allowing shit like this to continue.

Its not just the sponsors that accept this kind of activity, its everyone, for not taking a stand and doing something about it.

I know, the lack of ethics in online porn is truly appalling.

WTF is the difference between a free password that will work for a few days and a FREE TRIAL?

TeenCat 07-14-2007 11:04 AM

pennywize or similar ip checking script, when more than two people are on page in one moment, redirect them to your free tour. once in period send some fake logins all around so people will be sending to the tour and you can have nice advertisement from the password sites ;)
