I'm not talking about bible thumping, church going, book burning brimstone and fire horseshit, but spiritual in a sense of being at one with nature, the earth, the elements, etc.?

Is it the same thing to believe in God as it is to believe in Mother Nature, but they are just different names for the same thing?

Do you have to subscribe to Christian theory in order to believe in things like demons and angels? Good and bad?

Is being spiritual and in this industry the same kind of almost hypocrisy as being a Catholic or Lutheran and being in this industry?

Yes. The mountains are my religion, god or whatever you want to call it. I am at home and feel at peace.

I consider myself spiritual, but not religious....I'm a big believer in things like mother nature, forces of nature and even demons and angels, just not in the whole vengeful God sort of way....

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he said that it's weird I'm spiritual and in porn. That spirituality is the same as being a cross wearing Christian...sometimes I wonder who are the bigger kooks...hardcore religious people or hardcore anti-religious people? ;-)

I believe you can definitely be spiritual and be in this industry. You can't look at spirituality as a religion, because it's not in the sense that there is no god to rule you and tell you what is right and wrong. Thus, i think as long as you are not harming any living thing it's perfectly alright to be in this industry. Thats just my opinion.

Since my mind is opened to the world I read much more quality books than before, I went to university and became an environmental enginner, and still i work in this industry :P I am running psychedelic/environmental related sites as well, and I link fuckforforest from all my adult sites :D
People should care much more about Mother Earth. I am very sad because of i see how humanity destroys nature without even knowing whats at stake...
However i dont worry to much - life is simply too short for that. i try to do everything in order to keep my city/surrounding clean, to be "carbon-neutral" etc. I do love riding bike and will never understand ppl (especially in hungary) with big SUVs in the middle of the traffic jams... From 10 cars here 8 has only 1 person sitting...

I don't think it's hypocritical to be spiritual and in this industry. Spirituality embraces the natural state, and being comfortable with your body & mind in relation to existence. Sex and spirituality go hand and hand, and if you aren't comfortable with sexuality, where do you stand in relation to nature and the energy which dictates it?

As for devout Jews and a few other religions. If God did not like women menstruating he would choose another way to do it. He would not create women this way and then have men tell them they were unclean. Same goes for female circumcision.

Yes you can be but I can appreciate why it might feel like something best kept to yourself. Claiming to have any sort of spirituality is often met in this 'community' with the same harshness as many of us anticipate we would be met in a spiritual community if our profession was known. Which leaves many of us with a sense of spirituality drifting in the middle somewhere. It doesn't help when people like Donny are the face of spirituality here.

Wow, I forgot I started this thread....I kept thinking "when did I post this?" and realized someone bumped an old thread ;-)

I've actually since started going to church on Sundays and I'm finding I'm very comfortable mixing a religious belief system with the adult entertainment industry. I mean, it's not like I make cigarettes that kill millions of people or alcohol that leads to a lot of deaths...
