Srsly I am trying to figure out why it's a crime to deal with torrent traffic.
That seems to be the latest cross to crucify people on and I do not understand why. |

There is nothing wrong. Torrent traffic, toolbar traffic, and bulk spam from zombie computers are all very valid ways to make money. |

Torrent is a protocal that has been around since 2001.
Its nothing new and very akin to News Groups. These are things that all webmasters have had to deal with since the very beginning practically. The technology is basically a pillar of the internet function. Piracy can be stopped by vigilant content providers, while on the other hand it is an invaluable tool to market content to actually generate sales. Thats always been my thoughts on the matter. In the past I have taken massive amounts of content given to me by a program put info on the content like a domain and drove traffic to a portal domain that then relagated traffic to the programs in turn. Keep in mind they were just clips not full length movies. But if I could even get a full length movie to stamp out and drive traffic with I would do it. And wrong tony404. I have worked in torrent traffic. To a degree one can get soem good results with it, just like news groups on occasion. Torrent traffic is no adaptation effort to something new. Its a way old school method to makin a buck. |
i'd hit it!

There is no money in Torrent traffic, or email traffic, or SEO traffic, solo girl sites, trash DVD sites nor even content.
All it takes is good ways to squeeze a lemon these days. |

Just think a bit...
Who visits torrent sites? Imho all those who DON'T want to pay for content/services/etc. Leechers...useless traffic... |

It's no different than an MGP or TGP. People want shit for free and they get everything for free anyways. However whats important to realise is why do people still get sales? I know why... Just keep in mind people get this shit free anyways off MGP's TGP's yeah Torrent sites and free sites, EMails, Join4Free sites... Why do they keep buying? THe DVD and VHS porn guys had the same "Problem" yet DVD's kept selling. You can get live shows for free as well, tons of them. And people still buy... |
any torrent site owners feel free to hit me up and ill make you more money than any of your sponsors

The violators of copyright are the problem while Copyright holder's are not following up on thier own responsibility of maintaining the integrety of there content. In short... Copyright holder's are just as at fault as those that steal content and illegally post it on torrent sites. Just recently a company paid a hefty price for content violation, the tools and instruments to enforce copyright are available and even better than ever with new technologies available on the net. Right now. |
I say bullshit people are not advertising there because of profitability its because most think if they dont they are missing out. Especially when you consider the avg BT user is probably 15 yrs old and if not they are looking for free shit. They see a trailer of something interesting, they then go to a torrent search engine to find more for free not the site to pull out their credit card. How many here saw sicko for free will now go and pay please.lol Q if BT traffic was so great why are you broke all the time?
|
Fact is many content providers themselves use there own content to promote there own projects for further sales on torrent sites.
I have done it myself with my own content. Not full length movies per say but nice little chunks just to push traffic. All I am saying is that there are legit method's to using torrent sites, sure people steal and repost and it goes like vapor in the netosphere but thats what viral marketing is all about. It is the choice of content provider's to catch perpetraitors and see to it that enforcement of copyright is followed through. Big fucking money is made by people that enforce copyright. HUGEEEEE! |
that was the greatest post of these days on gfy, even though some morons think they know everything.
i don't have even 1 torrent site by the way, but i believe that if You can't stop it then try to manage it. Hi stickyfingerz btw, i hope You understand what i want to say. Regards. |
So on that tip...
I blame the content providers for not securing thier own content integrety, I mean shit one can goto a Torrent provider find there content and maybe just maybe drop a bomb suit on the situation. It really is not that hard to enforce copyright. Perfect10, Falconfoto and many other companies that pursue copyright violation have a great business model. Sure it's shitty but none the less stealing content is shitty as well, but not enforcing copyright is just as much the crime. However 9 times out of 10 you will find what is initially thought as stolen content follow the trail and learn that the content was legitamatly posted with the intention of generating revenue promotion or buzz. Thats the surprise. |

Bullshit statement of the day. |

that guy should see rapidshare man, they have companies emailing them everyday to remove the download link to stop the sharing |
Well maybe the 9 out of 10 is a stretch.
But still it is done. I am not defending copyright violation here I am just saying content providers themselves must be firm in enforcing the law. Not just sending a cease and desist and go have a beer... Content Violation is a huge industry to profit from I think we have all seen it with our own eyes over the years. If you are a victim of copyright theft make some noise go after violators hard and consistantly document everything and fry em... It's your own fault if you dont. Ya can not just sit and whine about it being stolen all the time. Do somethign about it. I would hope that ya guys would but clearly none of you do and just prefer to QQ about it screaming about getting raped. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT and quit sniveling. |
I bet these guys could tell ya.

you could have made a thread titled "Hey I've been away for a while, how is everyone.. I missed you guys etc etc" but noooooo :1orglaugh
|
I do not mean to harsh Tony I am sorry.
But ya could get together with other content provider's create a platform and go right the fuck after content violators. You could make some good coin doing it. I do not like content violators myself but it does come with the territory of owning and creating content. The industry does need a content guild of some sort to pursue violators and generate profit from those that exploit and steal content. |
