What is your number of uniques to free joins ratio for fling?

I am doing about 75 uniques for one free join on AFF. It is all blog SEO traffic, but not specifically dating traffic.

I'm doing 1:27 for free joins 1:257 paid joins blog traffic.

10k hits - 2100 free joins - 1:4 free join ratio - 260 paid joins - 1:39 paid join ratio. That's a two week pay period.

I've only been doing it 4 months too, never did any adult (or anything for that matter) before.

I have yet to find a dating sponsor who does not undermine my net monetization (on paysites).

Once you give your surfer to a dating site, they will take over spamming them with all the same paysites you promote WITHOUT your aff codes - that's the way they are structured.

I expected that from most dating sites, but I (naively) assumed that because ND has had a long standing practice of paying affiliates on all console signups, that when they introduced Fling it would be a bonus to ND affiliates.

Your Fling free members (as in you got paid nothing), are spammed with ND sites in the free areas which do not have your affiliate codes.

Can anyone tell me what the point is in promoting Fling AND ND paysites??

You can see that even in a bad month for us, where our conversion slid to 1:70 (paid:uniques) for him versus 1:40 for Fling, we end up paying more.

FLING
1:40 at $35 = $0.88 per unique
1:40 at $40 = $1.00 per unique

IWANTU
1:70 at $100 = $1.43 per unique

Basically, Fling would have to convert from unique to paid 250-300% better than we do to outpay us - which I doubt they can do. So go where the money is, that's the bottom line :)

That is an excellent point. Although on the few small blogs I do promote Fling they are softcore so I don't promote ND. I've never really gotten the hang of promoting dating sites myself anyway. I've just used it as an alternative filler.
