Yeah, I wasnt ironic in the first post if thats how it came out.

stickyfingerz 06-01-2007 08:56 AM

Not a fan of his music, but the guy is brilliant.

notabook 06-01-2007 08:57 AM

Twiggy is one bad mother fucker.

SxDx 06-01-2007 09:13 AM

Manson has always struck me as an above average intellect. His commentary in 'Bowling for Columbine' was extremely insightful and generally, he's got a lot to say that people should listen to.

Unfortunately, most people really can't get past his look

JayDeeZee 06-01-2007 09:23 AM

I totally agree. And I love his music too. He's touring with Slayer now

SykkBoy 06-01-2007 09:25 AM

He's the master of PR, branding and marketing and is a really smart guy. He's not a bad painter either.

Stomped 06-01-2007 09:32 AM

I prefer Trent Reznor

interesting how what brought him to the attention of America also keeps him from being taken seriously by the same people.

Iron Fist 06-01-2007 10:30 AM

MM is awesome - I particularly like his thoughts on suicide.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 06-01-2007 11:52 AM

ya, i rarely see manson speaking on a subject without having put thought into what he's saying and formulating a valid argument.

NinjaSteve 06-01-2007 11:54 AM

I heard he's sexy in women's clothing.

Steve Awesome 06-01-2007 12:14 PM

Quoted for truth... Its kinda sucks at times when you say you like Manson and people just assume he is just a freak and has nothing to say but if you listen to his music and even more so in his interviews and writings you can really tell the man is very smart. His views are not often popular but they are always very well thought out and have alot behind them when put in context. As someone else also stated he is a master of PR and his looks are what got him popular and into the "mainstream" audience and in peoples living rooms on shows like Donahue.

lucas131 06-02-2007 05:57 AM

I really appreciate his work, and i love his music. In many talk shows, interviews he told that with his music he want to send some of his beliefs about drugs guns and government and about at all america :P
Most maybe think he is some kind of satanist, as he looks like it, is in Church of Satan, but take a look at his lyrics, and what really is satanism? Only some bloody silly rituals, or sth bigger, some philosophy???

Worth to watch also, Marilyn Manson speak in Disinformation Conference

Yes he is! I love him, I remember when I was younger, my mother took away my older sister's tapes of Michael Jackson, because she felt that it was putting 'bad ideas' into her head... so when I decided that I liked Marilyn Manson, I figured to keep her from doing the same thing to me, I was going to have to get my arguments ready, so I could keep listening to him.

I sat down & wrote out by ear, every single lyric (This was before I had internet access) to all of his songs on the Anti-Christ album. It was an enlightening experience... there's a lot to them that when you take the time to listen, -really- listen to what he's actually saying... there's a great deal of truth to all of his lyrics... the only "negative" thing about most of his songs on that album happens to be that most people can't handle the truth. Truth about society, about human nature, about life in general.

I don't know her music but your words are right, most people can't handle the truth...I think everyone is hiding sometimes though.

Michaelious 06-02-2007 12:24 PM

Lol you tend to forget to how long he's been around for.

kane 06-02-2007 12:50 PM

I interviewed him years ago when I was writing for a music magazine. He is an interesting guy. He is well spoken, intelligent and was one of the cooler people I ever interviewed.

CyberHustler 06-03-2007 03:16 AM

Only time I ever heard of him was when I moved to Florida when I was 14 and there was a rumor around my school that he got some of his ribs removed so he can suck his own dick.
