Back from my heart attack

Well, on May 19th I was cleaning my kitchen floor and had massive chest pains, left arm pain and my breathing was painful. It went away and came and went and came, so I called 911 and hit the emergency room.

Had xrays, catscan, MRI scan, plenty of blood drawn to check enzyme levels and all the fun stuff.

Turned out one of the 4 major vessels was blocked. They did angioplasty and inserted a stent. I got out Tuesday the 22nd and have been just taking it easy since then.

PR_Dave and everyone at PimpRoll and AdultElite have been great. I'm sure most havent noticed any change, as the folks at the office stepped right in and have taken care of emails and ICQ support :)

Extra double special thanks to my LadyB, who I couldnt have pulled through it without the love and support. :wetkiss

I wanted to just let people know I'm semi-back, and to thank everyone for their well wishes. And special thanks to Greenguy for the lovely get well gift :thumbsup

I'm not back to the 9 to 5 grind yet or on ICQ support yet, but hopefully Monday.

Thanks for reading, and pay attention to your health before it forces you! :Oh crap :pimp

Dude that sucks, happy to hear you're well.. I had "pericarditis" one time when I was 16, felt like an elephant was standing on my chest.. not cool. :)

Now here's some negative reinforcement for your ass. ;)

Tom_PM 05-30-2007 10:48 AM

lol, thats too much meat and eggs right there! I'm sure the sauce is none too healthy either, hehe.

My diet has not been BAD to start with. The heavy smoking and extremely sedentary lifestyle was far far more of contributing factors in my case.

seeric 05-30-2007 10:48 AM

i'm due for a heart attack any year now.

no joke.

LadyB 05-30-2007 10:50 AM

Just curious, how old are you?

HAPPYPEEKERS 05-30-2007 11:33 AM

Welcome Back Tom!!

So glad you are doing well.

Tom_PM 05-30-2007 11:36 AM

I'm 42 years old. My father passed away of a massive attack at my age, and my mother had a stroke at 67. My younger sister has been on blood thinners already for some years now. So it's definitely an issue in my family.

However, they did tell me it's not my whole system affected. Looks like I'll probably just be on aspirin and lipitor daily for the foreseeable future. Which is good, because I dont want to be on lots of crazy drugs.

Sorry to hear about that bro! Bad glad it was not fatal! Your lucky! How old are you anyway?

Tom_PM 05-31-2007 10:39 AM

I'm 42 with a family history of heart troubles. Grand parents and great grandparents all lived very long. Parents didnt though, and my siblings have various issues.

We'll see how the old heart holds up once all of the bills start rolling in! (I dont have health insurance).. doh.

Funbrunette 05-31-2007 10:41 AM

Although this was a scary experience for sure. The good news is that your back

Tom_PM 05-31-2007 11:19 AM

Smoking is history for me. Just packs in the poison, and robs the blood of oxygen. If I hadnt been a smoker for about 30 years, I wouldnt have had the problem.
Plus I could probably lose 40 pounds (at least 30 anyway).

Ravage 05-31-2007 11:38 AM

Right on Tom! Glad to see you're doing well. :thumbsup

Nubiles 05-31-2007 11:49 AM
