hottoddy 04-23-2007 01:23 PM

I don't think they even report anything under 3.5 on TV, but they can still be enough to startle a CA newbie.

D 04-23-2007 01:29 PM

Ahh... thats what that shake was.

A quick jolt was all we felt at the top of a 2-story building in Van Nuys... like a truck hit the first floor at 25 mph.

bobby666 04-23-2007 01:48 PM

i have drunken 9 beers and feel evern more.........

What kind of injuries can you have from a 3.1? That is like falling off a chair.

3.1? That's tiny.

When it hits 6.0 then I'll worry about it.

well, having been through the loma prieta quake in the bay area years back i have no desire to go through another one. once you been through one monstrous quake you tend to freak out for any shaking.

from the sounds of things, these guys freaking out over a 3.1 quake aren't going to make it to the bathroom. :1orglaugh

in 1989 i was at the battle of the bay world series game and seeing candlestick park do the wave with no one initiating it was thrilling. scary, but thrilling. i've been waiting for another good earthquake!

Sounds crazy, this was our first and hopefully last.

KustomKowgurl 04-23-2007 02:47 PM

That's why I could never live there! I would have a heart attack every single time!

SiMpLe 04-23-2007 02:53 PM

I jump with any sign of a shake - They all start with a bump and you never know if it's going to be the big one - I was half way down the stairs towards the front of my building then stopped and sighed lol

dodger21 04-23-2007 02:56 PM

3.1, you guys are fucking pussies. Might as well start wearing a skirt and carrying around a purse.

Scary stuff my nuts.
Martina - you're the female version of a pussy!!!!!

That is how people get hurt and worse. Run outside and have something fall and hit you . . . . or the earth opens up and swallows you.
