Whether you like or hate President Bush, how many of you think that if Iran doesn't release the sailors seized a few days ago and Britain decides on military action; should the US get involved?

Well I can't stand Bush, but I've always thought Iran should have been the original target. They are and always have been the real threat and supporters of terrorism.

I wouldn't want to go into another war with Bush as president he's fucked up so much already it's not ever funny. On a side note, one thing I can say about Bush. Is if those had been US sailors we likely would have lobbed a few cruise missiles at them already.

Iran is one of the few nations that's I'd agree with attacking first. North Korea is another.

If those soldiers are hurt or executed the retaliation should be massive and yes the US should help its ally if asked.

Bush hasn't "fucked up" anything. Our country has gone soft. We have unrealistic expectations. Critics blast Bush for taking years, but the real timetable for changing that area is several decades, if not longer.

There are so many reasons to hit Iraq it isn't even funny. The abduction of the UK sailors is just another in a long list.

the US can't nuke them for the exact same reason they went into Iraq. They don't want to pay 150 dollars for oil.
if they nuke the area you wouldn't be able to get any oil from the ground for the next 150 years or so so that's out.
the reason they took UK sailors is because they know if they did this to the US it would be considered an act of war by the US and there would be far greater sections in the UN although I don't think the US would have attacked until necessary (such as a soldier getting hurt or killed) because the arm forces are stretched out as much as they can at this time.
the US should get involved if the UK asked them because the UK was there when the US asked them for support in Iraq. if they don't it would mean that no country would trust them again when it comes to needing support in return.
and just for the record no matter what Iran says about water this or that the reason they are doing this is to find out how far they can go before retaliation is done.
think about it, they know the world needs their oil so unless we stop oil flow from Iran to the world and are willing to pay for higher prices to show them we don't need them they will continue to have not only the western world but the entire world around their little finger.
if china and other countries supported not buying oil from Iran they would wake up and say SHIT WE ARE IN TROUBLE, LETS PLAY BALL WITH THOSE GUYS CAUSE WE CAN'T PLAY GAMES WITH THEM ANYMORE. THEY FOUND OTHER PLACES TO BUY THE OIL THEY NEED AND WE ARE NO LONGER HOLDING THE BALL.

They were ordered to sail where they did, and Iran was tipped off where they'd be. Are we really expected to believe that Iran captured British forces at sea on their own and took them back to Iran? Please. Backup would have been called and there would have been a conflict right there.
