Jesus Christ is everyone in the Biz Hiring Now?
Since a few weeks ago:
Shane's World QuickBuck Lightspeed FlashCash LatinCash IWANTU AEBN WWC Raffi TopBucks/Yappo and more http://www.gofuckyourself.com/search...archid=1203517 Who else is hiring right now? I've seen 10 notices easy about hiring lately. and a ton more. Jesus, theres no talent left in the pool. What has happened to this industry. I got news for you, many people who went off and started their own programs are not making even 30k a year if that. Did everyone go start their own programs and invest their life savings to try and be their own boss? Gees, this blows. Finding someone qualified to work for you nowadays is harder than just hiring a green bean and training them like another well known program is doing. |
Hehe well you can take quickbuck off the list ;)
|
Did someone say hire a green bean? :thumbsup
|
And people say there are no biz threads on GFY.
Hiring is about as bizthready as it gets. |
Working on commission means they have to actually perform. Makes it tough for some people.
|
Yes they are - and here's a blatant plug: http://jobs4adult.com
|
And some companies are making it harder to hire than they need. They have a canidate that is qualified but because something that was asked was not exactly perfect, even though there was no way it could have been, and they get pissy and rude.
|
i could use a nurse....
|
Lots of hiring going on behind the boards too ;)

I need a housekeeper. Unlike Shemp's requirements, looks don't count. The ability to control dog hair would be greatly rewarded :)

Reason things like that happen, is a company may take someone that is a noob or what ever and train him to be what they want. However 9 times out of 10 the companies still looks at that person as a noob or we trained him so why should we pay him top dollar. So once that person learns the gig he starts to realize he can make more money elsewhere. The simple fact is most companies want cheap labor but expect top performance. Then of course there is the other aspect, so many workers, expect top dollar and don't want to work for it. So it's just how the game works, find someone good even if they are a noob and keep them happy. |
Ive been trying to get hired and it doesn't seam to want to happen. I can guarantee you that I have more experience that 95% of the people applying too.
I even offered to work comission for a few people, I mean what the hell.. |
I'm hiring, too.
WANTED: Busty nurse, early 20s. Main tasks will be feeding me pealed grapes, trying on skimpy lingerie, scrubbing the floor, and massaging my prostate. All interested parties feel free to apply. |
well, if it is any consolation, if I lived there I would probably be working with you right now, haha
|
That's a good sign..
|
The talent pool in LA is only so big. Offer a huge signing bonus and relocation costs, company car, lots of other perks and I'm sure you'd fill your position quickly. Or do as Sly suggested, break it up into multiple positions, as you're really looking for something ultra rare.
|
Oh, and I was hiring, but I found someone, took me about 48 hours.. Man was it stressful :)
|
Maybe people are realising that the cheap help they hired offshore is not paying off and they have to hire local again.

jace, you know this is true. :winkwink: |
What Jace said.

haha... and always for the things I'm not doing...
|
That seems about right....those look like growing companies :-)

The people I heard about amazed me. Because I know they are having a hard time finding someone to fill the position. It has way more of a requirment than just being inhouse like you want. And I know why you want them in house. ATTN***** Anyone that thinks about working for A1R3K, keep in mind that he wants to turn you into his bitch. Thats why he wants you in house. And he will make you listen to bad music. ***** |
The old saying is 100% true: It's not what you know, it's who you know.
There's someone who was looking for a job MAYBE 3 days before they landed an incredible job for an incredible company. No public job offer, no public request for a job. That happens constantly and always has. Oh, and this person wasn't looking for jobs while on another company's payroll/expense account - that ALSO happens a lot in this biz ;) |
I've got mad skillz but there's not a chance in hell I'd relocate. It's online/phone only for me
I think a lot of people are like me in that aspect. relocating for a job that's not a 100% long term sure thing is very risky to say the least... |

Don't hire friends. Hire people that can do the job and you won't be constantly on the lookout for the next "great acquisition". |
