Drink & Drive..Do You?

When you go out do you drink and drive?

I have to admit i do..and basically its a roll of the dice everytime. :(

baddog 03-06-2007 01:58 PM

Nah, I might hit a bump and spill some.

Cabs for me dude, I'm not giving any more money to the state.

Adultnet 03-06-2007 02:02 PM

Its not a good idea to drive after you get some drinks... I better will pay for a cab then risk it drunk.

bDok 03-06-2007 02:08 PM

If I go out and have had more than 3 beers in a short amount of time no driving for me. If I have 3 beers over the course of a 6-7 hour night I drive home. Anymore than 3 beers though no matter how long of time it's been I cab it or walk home if it's sort of close.

FrankWhite 03-06-2007 02:42 PM

no, i smoke and fly.

woj 03-06-2007 02:52 PM

nah, I might drive after one or 2 beers, but not after any more than that...

jalami 03-06-2007 03:09 PM

Yeah, if it's just for dinner or a few beers over a long period of time, it's not really "driving drunk" since your chance of being anywhere near the limit is pretty low. I admit that I hate to drink and drive but the situation has popped up -- feels better driving in a corrupt country where they'll take bribes though.

Rhesus 03-06-2007 03:15 PM

I'm baffled with the amount of idiocy displayed in this thread. You DUI people should be locked up for years, at your own costs of course. That will teach you not to jeopardise others' lives.

2012 03-06-2007 03:19 PM

i find someone to drive but if you live downtown "anywhere" makes it easier to wander home in your two porsches

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 03-06-2007 03:20 PM

i drove home completely sloshed last night, no the smartest thing in the world to do and i know it. but i was pissed, had my keys in my pocket, and it was at least -25 last night. i only had to make it a couple miles, so i shook thems dice and rolled em.

After Shock Media 03-06-2007 03:21 PM

I have no choice I am forced to drink and drive, unless of course I plan on starting my drinking while in bed and staying there.

Question is, can I be prosecuted for a DUI after drinking since I am in a wheelchair? I heard of some getting one for being on a lawn mower and bicycle.

BusterBunny 03-06-2007 03:23 PM

nope.........

rollinthunder 03-06-2007 03:25 PM

I drink and drive, but where I live there are no laws against it. They were going to pass a law making it illegal but they decided it would be unfair to the bar industry. :D

just because you drink and drive doesn't mean its illegal... if you get completely smashed and go driving, yes it is, but you can drink so much and drive safely

only time i ever got pulled over after leaving a bar, i found out how much i could legally drink before driving

3/4 bottle of Jose Quiervo
1/4 bottle Vodka
6 Coors Lights
2 mugs of Jagemeister

blew a 0.04, didn't get a DUI, but i did get arrested for no license or insurance :S

madawgz 03-06-2007 03:30 PM

TigerDragon 03-06-2007 03:40 PM

over what time period... that's rediculous...

Furious_Female 03-06-2007 03:51 PM

No. Anyone that does should lose their license forever. If they kill someone, they should be prosecuted for murder. It's one of the dumbest, most careless things anyone could ever do. Is it really worth it?

2 or 3 hours, im a big guy, 6'2 290lbs and i drink... constantly... i think my blood is 25% alcohol now... i was suprised as fuck when it happened too, i was pretty sure when i got pulled over i was fucked for DUI and those others i got, but i passed all 4 tests

spideriux 03-06-2007 04:13 PM

yes sometimes...

D 03-06-2007 04:57 PM

6'2" and 220... so if I exceed 3 drinks in my first 2 hours, and 1 an hour after that for up to 6 hours, no way I'm driving.

But if I don't exceed that amount, sure... nothing illegal against it... and, although I understand where they're coming from, I personally think special interest groups, such as MADD, have this country a bit too wound up about the concern over peeps driving after a few.

Fap 03-06-2007 05:30 PM

Seen too many accidents to do that.. i mean if i have 1 beer yeah ill drive but not drunk driving

Paparazzi 03-06-2007 05:41 PM

M0nk 03-06-2007 05:51 PM

LittleSassy 03-06-2007 06:17 PM

Star 69 03-06-2007 06:27 PM

You sound like some young punk at a testosterone-driven pissing match. If what you say is true (but I doubt it) - you're apt to learn a lesson the hard way.

Hopefully you don't kill an innocent victim in the process.

Grow up.

rowan 03-06-2007 06:30 PM

Alcohol makes me tired so I don't feel confident driving, even when I've only had a relatively small amount. I usually just skip the alcohol rather than bother with finding another way home.

Nodtveidt 03-06-2007 06:34 PM

I never drink so nope...one time sailing through a windshield after being hit head-on by a drunk driver (wasn't wearing my seatbelt...), suffering partial amnesia due to the severe head trauma, seeing the driver of the car I was in who was also my best friend in a coma for a year and a half before his family pulled the plug, and still never being able to remember his name, even if told to me...well, that kind of did it for me.

Spunky 03-06-2007 06:56 PM

I might have a pint or 2 but that's it.I already have one nail in the coffin and 3 strikes ,you don't drive again here

either your time frame of 3 hours is wrong, you are lying, or the breathalyzer was broken but something is not correct....

sorry to burst your bubble, just because of how much i drank, doesn't mean i was impaired, obviously if i blew HALF the legal limit, if i got into an accident or not, the cause of it, wouldn't be from drinking and driving, so how about you grow up and stop trying to police other peoples lives... i have had tons of friends die in car accidents, alcohol related too, if i KNOW im not good to drive i don't, but just because i drank, doesn't mean i can't drive

could of been 4 hours, all i know is we didn't show up to the bar untill around 10pm, and bar time is 2am, so its within that 4 hour time frame... but it wasn't all day long, i have a high tolerance to alcohol

Evil E 03-06-2007 09:28 PM

Best thing to do if you know that you will be drinking is to take a ride with friends/public transportation or taxi. That way you are sure that you won't come back with your car... when you are drunk you usually take stupid decisions.

Cab will cost you maybe 10-20$ DUI might cost you 5k, prison and a life.

BAC has nothing to do with tolerance
