Lets do a poll: Resolution screen
 

Im planning to redesign my site, and just asking me... what is the standard resolution right now?

Looks like its 1024x768 or bigger... lets do some research for GFY users. :winkwink:

I'm sure most webmasters use 1280x1024 or the widescreen equivelent.

Lately, I've been laying out at 900x[whatever]

Ops, voted for 1024x768. Cuz I thought you meant the resolution most people use.

I use 1440x900.

I don't think most ppl use higher than 1024x768. I mean the surfers.

I think most people have 1024x768 in general. Guys who use the PC for their work (webmasters, programmers, writers...) or PC freaks like gamers use a bigger resolution like 1280x1024 or more...

Yes I think so too, but most webdesigners (at least low budget designers) do his portfolios for webmasters from forums like this one... so I think would be really helpful.

I think I will go with 1024 for my next site.

My laptop's at 1680x1050 and my desktop's at 3200x1200.

1440x900 - 19" widescreen tft :)

I'm curious though, what resolution would you build your website at if you were targeting a monitor of 1280x1024 or 1440x900 ?

I always used to do it at 800x600, now I think its time to change... so I will use 1024x768.

If you are completelly sure your surfers use that resolution then its ok, but keep in mind it will be a pain for the rest of surfers... I wouldnt use more than 1024x768 so you keep all your audience.

1024 x 768 all the others are too damn small

1280x1024 for all my pcs

check if the glasses are in the right position.

I love 800x600. Anything higher strains the eyes, especially for those who look at a computer screen 10 hours a day.

My res 1280*1024.Cant image anything smaller.

used to use 1024x768 all the time recently changed to 1152x864 and i like it... any higher and everythings too small for my taste

For my stationary its 2x1280x1024, and my new laptop is 1920x1200 and with 1080p HD. It looks good with real HD vids :thumbsup

Oh come on, listing only those three and "higher". I'm on something like 2960 x 1050, and i know most people on here tbh are on similar resolutions.

how about css and display it nicely to all resolutions
