CyberErotica sold

So it looks like CyberErotica was sold to another company. Do you think this new company will shave ? We can't know whether they're trustworthy or not anymore. They might keep all our money!

What do you guys think ? Still safe to promote ?

FATPad 07-29-2002 12:10 PM

Very interesting

cherrylula 07-29-2002 12:12 PM

Trying to wash all the porn off?

Fletch XXX 07-29-2002 12:16 PM

Yeah mainstream? huh?

nocostporn 07-29-2002 12:18 PM

possibly meaning preparing for mainstream to enter the adult world... makes sense

Fletch XXX 07-29-2002 12:20 PM

No, what it says to me is.

"By selling CE we are able to focus on the future.

And position ourselves for the revolution that will take place in mainstream web sites."

Mainstream meaning "non adult" or "Setting the Trend?"

eh *bowl*

More main stream in porn than you think and has been for some time... AT&T is the 1st or 2nd porn provider in the USA for awhile.

funkmaster 07-29-2002 12:30 PM

... I wouldn´t be surprised if the new buyer is nobody but the old owner .. wanna bet ??

Royaltee_Gee 07-29-2002 12:30 PM

LoL. It was probably sold because they got an offerso HUGE that they couldn't resist.

It was probably an offer that would ensure they live like kings for the rest of there lives.... :)

GotGauge 07-29-2002 12:32 PM

Who is
Trade News Corporation N.V

What big sites do they own?
I see they own over 300 paysites.

Just strange that the biggest player in the industry is kinda getting out...

More main stream.....

Attorney General John Ashooooo

hehehe, I wasnt stating either, I was questioning the use of the word.

;)

SykkBoy 07-29-2002 12:41 PM

I would like to announce at this time that I have sold the name "SykkBoy" to the Sykkomore Corporation who run 3 adult sites with a total of 17 hits per day, but I will stay on and manage the name SykkBoy and all it's affiliates and subsidiaries...I want to focus on the future and develop exciting new ways to be deliciously evil and maintain the ability to cook food that stimulated the palate....

i'm aware... but i wont be suprised when we see softcore porn on billboards and commercials in the new future...MAINSTREAM mainstream meaning porn wont be taboo anymore... thats what I took from it,but yeah I'm sure the same folks still have control :winkwink:

Well there are VCA PORN billboards on the Sunset strip here in Hollywood, and have been for some time.

But in terms of mainstream versus porn, I do not think they will ever "merge" too much as some might think..... not as long as we have Britney Spears and other "mainstream" SEX stars on regular tv.

Dude there are huge billboards for all kinds of fun sex acts this way.

Every major strip club buys big ass ads which I guess could be considered Softcore porn too. I mean whats the difference if its a porn star or a stripper on a billboard?

TheFLY 07-29-2002 12:51 PM

Who cares -- I know only one site that pushes Cyberotica...

Ya obviously... But 100 more million in there bank accounts, will ensure them alot more :)

Lexxx 07-29-2002 12:52 PM

"...there are some brilliant, very big players in this industry that have almost no public presence at all". (Colin Delia, Building An Empire)

Maybe they are the ones who bought CE... hmmm

archer 07-29-2002 12:54 PM

the fact of the sale is interesting in and of itself but that is one helluva useless press release.......

ie who's gonna manage the company.... what happens to the current owners(aside from adding to their bank accounts)

lots of stuff will follow...

I feel pretty certain that most of it will be explained tonight on the FM live show.. I believe that he is on Vacation, but think he will be calling into the show tonight to answer questions...

payrollpete 07-29-2002 12:59 PM

"Ya obviously... But 100 more million in there bank accounts, will ensure them alot more"

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahha

if you think they sold it for anywhere NEAR that much you need to come back down to earth :)

Pornwolf 07-29-2002 01:59 PM

I'm sure no one will give a straight answer on this matter and I wouldn't ask them to for their own protection but I think it wasn't a sale at all. I think CE just transferred their company to a new holding company with a few new employees to separate the mainstream and porn properties for corporate image purposes. Smart move but I don't think it was an actual sale.

Kimmykim 07-29-2002 03:06 PM
