Idiot - this had NOTHING to do with her, but a neighbor who was the moron. Granted there is a thing such as renters insurance, but most of the people out there just don't think things like this will happen. It's very sad and my heart goes out to her. She is a very sweet girl and has done some work for Vivid under Vivid Alt. She is a hard working cute chick who needs a break here. Don't be an ass.....

If shes a person of good character and quality, then she should have money banked from some of the gigs she did.

I don't think this is really about insurance as much as it's about people most people don't know asking for money. I feel sorry for her, just as I feel sorry for anyone who loses their home to fire, flood, or whatever natural disaster hits.

But I don't recall her ever posting on the board and I'm guessing most of the board won't know who she is. Would she be helping any of us if our house burnt down? If it was a GFY regular, I could see everyone pitching in to help. I think some people just get annoyed with the barrage of donation threads for people who probably didn't give two shits about us the other day.

My comment was not directed at you - it was directed at the person who posted the heartless comment. Yes, we see them everyday (charity posts), doesn't mean it gives someone the right to be an ass. Didn't our parents teach us "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all." Additonally, there are lots of people here who post just to post and say things that are totally uncalled for we all know that.

And certainly some people here will know her, as I do.

Poor girl but this should be a lesson to people who rent, renters insurance is cheap and you can be insured up the ass for about 200 bucks a year.

And I feel bad for her as well. If she had hit up a friend for a loan, then I could under stand. But taking donations?? Think she will pay those people back? Not likely.

Why do people who DO think have to pay for people who do NOT think... I guess that is just what he meant and Im afraid I have to agree.

Try reading what I wrote - it was simply that if you don't have something nice to say, there's no reason to post... This is a thread for people who have a heart and want to help. Not for haters....

Renters insurance is flaky at best, and is more in place to protect the landlord than the renter. I wish her well starting over, terrible situation.

that sucks. I hope that she get's everything back in order. i can't imagine loosing all of my shit. I guess it's time for me to get some insurance after reading about this.
