I need major help with Registry Fly, they locked me out & I?m going to lose domains!

Can someone please help, I am ready to cry. I have a couple hundred domains at RegFly and they requested for me to disable my "IP secure range" in order for them to respond to a trouble ticket. Well now that I have done that I am locked out of my account with RegFly and cannot renew my domains so my domains are going to start expiring and RegFly will not respond to any e-mails or phone calls from me. I am going to lose a lot of money and a lot of very hard work. I just want to cry I am so upset and pissed off I can not believe that this place is doing this to me and not helping. It's my virtual property and I have a right to it. I am so desperate for help right now. I want to keep all my domains.

Can some one please help me!!! Does anyone know anyone there? Does anyone have any ideas?

jacked 01-15-2007 11:58 AM

that sucks seems regfly is pulling some shady shit the last few days

Viper2K1 01-15-2007 12:00 PM

I found out the only way to get support there is to get into the support chat, then wait an hour or so before you finally get somebody in there
then stay nice, throw some compliments their way and they get stuff done

MetaMan 01-15-2007 12:01 PM

I am sorry to say that if you do anykind of search about register fly on this board you will find what they are really about.

i am surprised anyone dares to keep domains with them up to this point.

best of luck anyway.

fris 01-15-2007 12:02 PM

ya i got all my shit transfered, might be able to find a contact via webhostingtalk forum

JD 01-15-2007 12:04 PM

wow that sucks. not sure what you'll be able to do :(

crockett 01-15-2007 12:06 PM

Well there are a sizable number of us that have had issues with registerfly.. Maybe it's to the pont we should do something about it. I'd think they have to be approved by ICANN and follow some sort of guidelines to be able to sell domains.

Why can't we all just start targeting ICANN with floods of complaints? I'm sure there are thousands of people out there that are having the same issues everyone here is.

I know myself I never had any issues until the last few months. A few weeks ago every domain I had with them has their name servers changed. I've had an open support ticket waiting for 2 weeks now with no reply.

So why can't we pull all our experances together and make a formal complaint with ICANN?

sandman! 01-15-2007 12:12 PM

Call them i have been able to fix issues in the past over the phone without much problem.

If your domains are not worth 45 min's of your time oh well.

pocketkangaroo 01-15-2007 12:36 PM

Did they give you a reason for locking your account? I had some trouble with them in the past but went the legal route and they quickly stopped fucking around. Not sure if that would still work today but I'd try to get a human on the phone and find out why they are locking and what you can do to stop it.

I'm not saying they aren't but I've waited that long just to have them give me some BS excuse and then they say the registration services were down today but they will be back up tomorrow.

Tomorrow comes and it's the same BS.. The simple fact is they suck and should not be ICANN accredited. I dunno what the fuck happened to them but they have gone to total shit. I've never seen a company turn to absolute shit the way they have.

I would LOVE to do that but I am so scared to say anything and then they take all my domains. I have a lot of domains worth a lot of money and I am walking on egg shells with these people. I just can't believe that ICANN is supporting this crap. I transferred my domains to RegFly about a year ago before I knew about all this crap. Thank you for the advice.

Everything you just said I have done at least 15 times. WAIT WAIT WAIT and then the "services are down", call again same EXCUSE same result, WAIT WAIT WAIT the services are down.

One time I called RegFly forwarded my call to some dude and he said he didn't work there and that sometimes he gets the phone calls forwarded to him from RegFly support and he doesn't know why. Then he told me they suck. What the hell do I do? I need some Fris/Smokey help to get my God Damn domains back. LOL

ICANN should be renamed to ICANT LOL

I am about this close *fingers held half inch apart* to getting an attorney. I have printed EVERY SINGLE E-MAIL and all the WHOIS info for every domain. I have the best in your face paper trail you could imagine preparing for this type of issue. I even printed out every support ticket and every response to every support ticket made them with.

I was on hold one time for over an hour and a half and then they would disconnect me. Then I would call back on speaker phone and sit on hold again to get in touch with no one. I am such a stubborn bitch I kept calling back until I finally got someone and of course I got the "services are down" excuse. Maybe I should do a caller ID block or call from a friend?s house so they don't know the number that is calling and will pick up the phone. But I will more than likely get the "services are down" excuse again. I mean how do you run a company when the services are down 24/7? :1orglaugh

I think about my domains more than 45 minutes in an hour every waking moment. I can't sleep. I can't believe this. :sadcrying

That is a great idea! I think I am going to start an e-mail petition and get as many people to sign it, list on it, and go down to the ICANN office, in heels that make me 6'4 haha. Then I will hand my complaints to them IN PERSON and tell them that I think it sucks that they support a company that treats their customers like this. The worry people must go through. I know I am sick to my stomach every single day about it. It?s my virtual real-estate, it?s my fucking ideas that I work hard on and these people are just saying oh well who cares if you lose money, or time or hard work. We have other things to do like answer the phone and tell people our computers sucks and don?t work. Okay now I am just getting fucking pissed off. It happens quit often when I talk about this place. It just burns me.

Nicky 01-15-2007 01:15 PM

Use their online chat, I got my shit fixed with them today through that chat, had to wait almost 1,5 hours before someone came into the chat client and talked to me but it was worth it since I didnt lose my expiering domains.

DaddyHalbucks 01-15-2007 01:15 PM

Open up an account at Moniker, and thransfer all your domains there.

:2 cents:

bdld 01-15-2007 01:18 PM

maybe a few people with registerfly accounts could email support and tell them about your situation.

That is the problem I can't get into my account to renew my domains or transfer them. I have domains this month and next month and the following month and the following month and the following month, that are all going to expire. They won't help me and won't allow me access to my domains. It's fucking bullshit, THEY ARE MINE!

I am going to try the chat and then if that doesn't work I will try your idea. I am so desperate right now I will do anything to get my domains secured. I just want to cry. :(

seeric 01-15-2007 01:36 PM

whatever you do, don't post any of the domains here. some of the nitwits that visit this board would be happy to take them off your hands while you're locked out.

bdld 01-15-2007 01:39 PM

i got 100+ domains out of there successfully last month. i just register .info's there now, then transfer them out later.

spacedog 01-15-2007 01:39 PM

Initiate a transfer externally from another registrar, if you know the authorization codes?
Send a complaint to Icann.
Have an attorney send a threatening letter to registerfly that if domains & account are not unlocked within 24 hours that you will sue for millions, etc..

ICANN has been flooded with complaints. They dont care. It's not their concern how registerfly runs their business.

bizarredollars 01-15-2007 02:06 PM

All I can suggest is get your lawyer on it, and as move away from registerfly as soon as you get chance.. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but they have no right to do this to you... regardless of the agreement, you still have rights.

I don't mean to pick, but that is just not true... ICANN are responsible for a lot, and should be accountable.

Well as soon as I get access to my domains trust me I am moving them all over to GoDaddy. I already have a 100 + domains there and I have been trying to consolidate my domains to one location. I can't afford to waist my time or energy worrying about the security of my property. That energy needs to be spent on building my business.

Thank you guys for your helpful advice and if anyone can think of a "sneaky" way to get my domains let me know! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

BradM 01-15-2007 02:27 PM

I could have told you they sucked 5 years ago.
