BTW, the best way to get banned around here is to start threads about locked threads.

I think Lensman was a little strict with the rules on this one. Everyone can't post multiple times a day and I remember this guy being around and asking for help and advice for awhile. It is Lensmans board though and the site does compete with one of his properties so......

i would have closed that one guy who starts a new thread every 3 days announcing his program giving trips and dvd players away lol.... ah well... i like the young fella so drunkdollars is going in my sig :thumbsup

It's ok to spam if you are replying - just can't start one :)
Spams with one word/ useless responses inside threads are much worse IMHO than a thread that says "1 time announcement" in the topic.

Sometimes people start serious topics and get replies with a smiley, "format c", "I fucked her", or some other useless response with their sig. I think that is worse...

But what do I know - it is his board so he gets to make the rules...

I have found GFY very usefull in the past and have gotten tips on movie content, compression and more..

Ah but let us not forget that the program in question may conflict with some of Lensman's stuff. His board, his rules. This should be respected. I think drunkdollars has learned a valuable lesson today.

I agree with Lensman 100%. This is his board, people should respect the fact that he can do whatever he wants. If you dont like his board leave. If you want to advertise you can contact his advertising department and make a deal with them. They reply quickly and are nice and willing to work out whatever you are trying to advertise.

We were never trying to "spam" we were just trying to talk to webmasters and improve our program with webmaster input..
