fuzebox 12-23-2006 07:12 PM

Curious, why the VFR and not the CBR? Of all my friends who ride I don't know anyone who has ever bought or even considered the VFR series...

J. Falcon 12-23-2006 07:16 PM

Congrats, you deserve it.

Because I can (and do) ride the VFR over 700 miles in a day and I'm not sore when I get off of it. Try that with a CBR... you'll be asking for morphine to end the pain :1orglaugh

And I also can (and do) take it on the track and yes the CBR is faster but I dont see many of them pass me.

This is me on my '04 VFR last spring at the track
http://www.sincityxriders.com/forums..._2_1_73428.jpg

The VFR is cheaper on insurance, and this new one has anti-lock brakes. Much more comfortable than the CBR, and how fast do you REALLY need to go on the streets anyway?

Besides I like to be different, and everybody else has a CBR or GSXR etc... there are enough repli-racers on the streets without me having one just like all the others :thumbsup

I have ridden both and for long distance rides the VFR is a blessing compared to the CBR. CBR is fast but after a hundred miles are you can think about is the pain running through your back.

The only thing I dont like about that bike.. is the tread patterns on the rubber...

Perhaps a black would look nice.. Not a big fan of white on bikes..

those are Metzler sport touring tires

they are WAY better than the usual Dunlops that Honda normaly puts on thier bikes. But i guess the strike by all the tire maker employees at Goodyear has prompted Honda to switch tire brands

whatever the reason for the change, I like it

MandyBlake 12-24-2006 12:02 AM

yes... in 3.3 seconds which isnt bad at all for a bike that weighs 577 pounds fully loaded with fuel.

Its a sport touring machine, not a supersport repli-racer... get a clue

Dagwolf 12-24-2006 01:55 AM
