boneprone 12-06-2006 01:24 PM

Fox news is saying he is dead...

But the Oregonian is reporting he is alive...

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:25 PM

Oregonian is restating.......

Saying he was found.. But the condition is not known.

XPays 12-06-2006 01:25 PM

cnn is saying he is face down in the snow :disgust

selena 12-06-2006 01:25 PM

I'm crossing my fingers that the alive report is the right one. I have been reading this story as it unfolded, and it was one of those that stuck with me.

XAKEP 12-06-2006 01:26 PM

Hello Boneprong what is this about!!!

JUSTB 12-06-2006 01:26 PM

Oh how I hope they found this guy alive!

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:26 PM

Shit............

This guy was very very resourceful during all this..

Well over a week in the snow..... Amazing his wife and kids made it.

He was leaving a trail and everything as he hiked along for rescuers..

crockett 12-06-2006 01:26 PM

I'm must be out of the loop.. who what and when? I know where

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:27 PM

As soon as i heard they were finding his clothes i figured hypothermia kicked in and he would be dead.

Exactly..

Mixed thoughts on this..

One being he was getting hypothermia and got the false sence of warmth that happens before it sets in..

The other being he took extra clothes and left them as a paper trail for searchers to find him.

He has been leaving not just his pants, but his daughters and wife's clothes like a skirt, parts of his map, and articles of clothing.

Dveron 12-06-2006 01:31 PM

Hope hes a live as well. If he had stayed with his family he'd have been better off but hindsight is a great thing.

XAKEP 12-06-2006 01:31 PM

Thank you Boneprong for link I read all story.

Why this man do not stop moving? I think first thing to do is stop and wait!! Do not run in circles!!

Is this man dead? I think he cannot survive. Very few modern man can survive in wild!!! but I hope he do!!!!

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:34 PM

They stayed still for one week... Him, his wife and children..

They did EVERYTHING right..

After one week and no rescue in sight he had to make a judgement call and leave to look for help..

After 1 week of staying put he knew he had to TRY to do something......

evildick 12-06-2006 01:46 PM

I used to watch that guy on TechTV all the time, testing out the latest gadgets. Doesn't sound too promising if he's face down.

:(

Stallion 12-06-2006 01:48 PM

Looks like he has died. According to live police interview :(

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:48 PM

He's Dead I think....

Confirmed "We found Mr. Kim's Body"

Live News Press released just now by the sherif..

But the body language from these guys looks as if he's dead and indeed its just a body.

wyldblyss 12-06-2006 01:48 PM

Amazing the family survived, lets home they find him alive too

Dveron 12-06-2006 01:49 PM

RIP. Mother nature is a bitch

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:49 PM

Yeah he's dead...

The sherif in the background was crying..

They refer to him as "The Body"

That pretty much says it all.

Fucking Sad......

Gabriel 12-06-2006 01:51 PM

Seems like 1:48 was a popular posting time.

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:51 PM

Confirmed: He's dead..

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:55 PM

Before the haters come out, yeah yeah, i know people die all the time and we need to get out over it..

Its true....

But this story was just hard to ignore.... Really brought you in to really feel for this family and what he must have been going through..

I guess we will all understand it better when the made for TV movie is made by this summer.

boneprone 12-06-2006 01:57 PM

he had to do what he thought was best, I would of done the same thing but probably left before a week was up.

uno 12-06-2006 02:06 PM

Poor family. This would have made a great holiday season, feel-good story.

selena 12-06-2006 02:08 PM

If there is ever a good reason to die for a man, I suppose dying in an attempt to protect or defend your family would be it.
