I thought it looked like the mustang:2 cents:

Jace 11-29-2006 01:57 PM

jesus, do car makers ever get original anymore, or do they just see what the other companies did and alter the design a little?

phasic 11-29-2006 01:57 PM

mustang rip, yuk.

Vittorio 11-29-2006 01:58 PM

Nahhh, this thing is awesome, got much better lines than those 2 cars...

schneemann 11-29-2006 02:01 PM

Too bad GM is gonna bog it down with a bunch of dumb shit to weigh it down and make it slow.

When are car makers gonna understand that a person who buys a muscle car doesn't need 4 layers of sound deadening, power accessories and all that?

These cars need to be bare-bones with a big nasty engine.

that's what i was thinking...

DaddyHalbucks 11-29-2006 02:23 PM

Most of the buyers will not be hardcore engineophiles.

Most buyers will be people in the surburbs, and that is why GM adds creature comforts.

Vittorio 11-29-2006 02:27 PM

Hmmm, I'm surprised by some of the comments, I was really blown away by the size and the profile of the car... I think it will do really well when it comes to market in 2008. We'll see..

I think GM, with the corvette Z06, has proven that is likes to build go-fast cars.

I have two letters for you: SS :winkwink:

These pics circulated last year as well. There is a black one also.

Yes, I think this was the first time they showed a RED one at the Miami Beach show.

pornguy 11-29-2006 05:07 PM

Kind of looks like a bastard mating of a stand and camaro

Ohface 11-29-2006 05:09 PM

Spectacular but it does not bring anything new.

Boogie3 11-29-2006 05:12 PM

That concept car is off the chain!!

beemk 11-29-2006 05:14 PM

i think it looks like a mix of a monte carlo and a mustang.

KaliC 11-29-2006 05:15 PM

I like, low tops look much nicer

BucksMania 11-29-2006 05:16 PM

i like it

ArkansasDave 11-29-2006 06:03 PM

hmmm, not too impressed. looks like GM took to the grab-bag and came up with a bulky new design to place in a Fall-Guy remake...

If you compare the horsepower-to-weight ratio of these new cars to their predecessors, you'll see what I mean.

Its a problem that has plagued GM for years. Look at the Impala SS cars, the new GTO, the 4th Gen Camaros and Firebirds. They're all bloated turds. They need to trim the fat on these cars.

Spunky 11-29-2006 07:31 PM

I've owned about 5 Camaros.68's to 80's..always been attracted to them

Vitasoy 11-29-2006 07:42 PM

It looks pretty good to me

RawAlex 11-29-2006 07:47 PM

They should change the sign from "American Reveolution" to "American Me Too!".

That car has almost nothing to do with Camaros of the past, except V8 and 2 doors. Otherwise it is generic GM-mobile schlock. They didn't bring any of the styling cues or looks from the late 60's early 70s cars, and that is what has made the Mustang such a hit, and makes this just look like "throw something out there quick ot make a buck".

gecko 11-29-2006 08:10 PM

Looks clean to me

rounders 11-29-2006 08:18 PM

Whoo thats a nice looking car!

There is going to be a 1LE version of this Camaro jsut like there was with the others (IE no power anything, AC and option, and some upgraded parts).

Also keep in mind not everyone just wants a big engine and 4 wheels.

4th gen Camaro SS, 3490lbs with ttops, power, and leather.
Power to the wheels, 275hp and 310tq from the Lt1 and 310hp and 330tq from the LS1.
Seems like good power to me, for the price point they dominated. And even still they dominate all but the SC mustangs.

Trim the fat you say, if they do that they take away too many buyers, If you want a stripped out hull then buy one and take everything out of it.

sniperwolf 11-29-2006 09:56 PM

looking really good..
