I just called them up, had to get transfered to a supervisor. He told me five days after the PS3 is released in stores, but I have a feeling that guy didn't know what he was talking about either.

I did 2 day, so the 20th. I plan on getting one in-person on the 17th also. Friend of mine made a profit of $600 selling ps2 when it came out.

I used to work there years ago, and still know people that work there. They generally keep details like that on a need-to-know basis, so he probably didn't know.

Yeah, the first person I talked to had no clue, she said I'd have to just 'wait and see'. Her attitude pissed me off so I got transferred to her supervisor but he really didn't sound confident either.

Regardless, I'll be camping out at Best Buy. It's going to suck when it's limit one per customer... probably going to camp out at wal-mart first on the 16th until midnight, pick up as many as I can there then head to Best Buy.

I did the 2nd release of the xbox 360 a month after it was initially released. The last people to actually get one got there around 7pm the night before. So I highly doubt you'll be able to secure one if you don't get there until midnight. There are people that will be waiting on the 15th for the release the morning of the 17th.

Eh, I'm not that worried about it where I live. I'll go at around noon the 16th and ask walmart about the PS3's, secure my place either myself or with a scab. Then as soon as I can legally buy then, buy as many as possible. I'll probably stick a scab around BB to keep a close eye and to call me when people start showing up. These are the few times I love the place I live... people around here have really low purchasing capabilities. Most of the EB Games pre-orders weren't done here for over an hour (I got most of them with a few scabs LOL), and most of the people who showed up showed up right as the store was opening rather than stay in line for hours.

anyone know if bestbuy is doing wii preorders? That?s the one he really wants, I couldn't find one searching their site but the ps3 also didn't come up.

well that sucks balls

i was on some gaming forum the other day and saw the 60gb version (this one) being offered at amazon for preorder but then I checked again like five minutes later and it was gone but the20gb was available for preorder.

now they are both gone
