Living in Australia
where are the best places?
what are the immigration - investor visa requirements? cost of living - houses - cars.. etc... links.. looking for higher scale places only |
sydney is where all the action is.
gold coast is also good. not sure about visa requirements etc. |
Its been a long time since I was in Australia so I am sure the visa stuff has changed - but as far as places to live goes I would say around the Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane.
The Gold Coast to the south is OK but a bit tacky - but maybe better if you are younger. The biggest thing is climate - tell us what is your favorite city in the US and I will tell you where to be in Aus. |
Sydney
Melbourne would be my first choices - like to have access to a larger city and the major airports.. I don't mind to be a little outside of the city in a more exclusive, gated type of community |

Its a bit of a battle with Melbourne and Sydney - I didn't like Melbourne at all, the weather sucked for a start. Then again some people love it. I suppose its like the thing between the west and east coast in the US - you cant love both. |
weather in sydney is like what place in the rest of the world?

There are loads of great places to live in Australia.
If you have never been here before do yourself a favor and travel the East Coast before settling down anywhere. |
