I've been told I'm too quick to defend myself here. Here I go again proving it.

People who have a hard time when reading the word "millions" must really be doing poorly in this business. For the word to be plural (millions) all one needs is 2. I've stated that I've made "millions" from this business. To see if that's possible let's do some math.

I was actually in the business 9 years. My own math has been off. I started in June of 1997 and ended just a few weeks ago, in September of 2006.

Just $2 million would make my statement true, no? $2 million divided by 9 equals what? Come on... you can do it. I know you can! The answer is an average of $222,000 per year. And change.

Now, if you're not making that perhaps you should leave the business as well. I assure you I averaged more than that. That is a promise.

I really don't know. And on top of it I heard from multiple people that TD was saying things about me on instant messenger programs that just weren't true. I can't understand that one, because in the past I've stuck up for him on this board. I really can't wrap my head around why he'd go and pull a stunt like that.

I doubt that many photographers make $200k/year on GFY (all who do are welcome to post indicating so). Even at that rate it would take ten years to make $2 mil.

I'm not going to go into my or Donny's finances here but I can tell you that Donny and I did shoot for at least 3 of the same clients and EACH of those clients spends 6 figures a year with each of us. I also happen to know that Donny had pay sites which generated 6 figures annually.

I've never changed the dates. I just subtracted wrong. I'm so used to saying 8 years because, well, it WAS 8 years. For a year. But then I started thinking (which is something I don't recommend to everyone). I realized it is now 2006. September of 2006 to be exact. I started shooting for my very first client in 1997. June of 1997. Then my noodle but together something amazing: September of 2006 MINUS June of 1997 EQUALS 9 years. Not 8, as I've been saying.

Well, golly gee! Time sure has flown by.

Ah, sorry about that. I'll attempt perfection just as soon as I get my halo. Right now I'm still human and getting a little annoyed with idiots questions my every move.

Let me rephrase my statement a little. Tell me if this sits a little better with you:

If a person is self-employed in this business and making less than $200k per year they may as well go to work for someone else. The hassles of being self employed just aren't worth it for less than that.

It's admirable for you to stick up for your friend.

No, I don't know everything - never said I do.

However, I do hire photographers, both for adult and mainstream, and I have been an amateur photographer for years now, plus own and operate web sites, so I do know a few things about pay in the industry.

In the early years, Donny was mostly shooting for himself. Then he shot for ATK and I have photographer friends that shoot for them, and I know how much they make. I also know some of the same people at some of the companies he shoots for and have an idea about what they pay.

Only in the past few years has he received some big paying gigs. Therefore, given his claims, I don't think my challenge to him was out of place.

Also, don't include pass through money in the total (the money you are paid to pass onto the models as their fee).

Oh, and Donny Christ Superstar, quit hiding behind Aaron's skirt...

Do you guys have any idea how much shooting has been done by Donny with Karups sites ALONE? I can't disclose numbers but we spend ALOT of money each year on content for these sites, and a consistant portion comes from Donny.

I can also assure you that XXXRewards is not a stingy or cheap company. I for one am spoiled and overpaid... hehehe

For the record everyone, 200k a year isn't at all unreasonable shooting content if you have the clients in place. But what do I know, I'm just a former shooter without a clue.
