Hugo Chavez just called GW the Devil

On the UN floor, he just said, "The Devil came here yestrerday, and it still smells of sulfur." He said something on the lines of, "Like he owns the world".

Who is Hugo Chavez again?

Of all people, what does he have against George W? Isnt he a drug kingpin or something?

Under a 'common sense' system, Chavez would have been assassinated a long time ago.

Odd in a way this is "news" - it's no more than the General Assembly knew already - tho they may not have done the verbal in public.

Chavez's references to "reforming the United Nations" are also generally agreed by the General Assembly. What's the obstacle? The US Admin again. Democracy is a good word to use, but applying it in reality and giving it to nations outside the Security Council is a problem. "We" obviously know best :pimp

Quote:

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez took his verbal battle with the United States to the floor of the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, calling President Bush "the devil."

"The devil came here yesterday," Chavez said. "He came here talking as if he were the owner of the world."

The leftist leader, who joined Iran last week in an alliance against U.S. influence, accused Washington of "domination, exploitation and pillage of peoples of the world."

"We appeal to the people of the United States and the world to halt this threat, which is like a sword hanging over our head," he said.

He also said the United Nations in its current system "doesn't work" and is "antidemocratic."

Chavez called for reform, saying the U.S. government's "immoral veto" had allowed recent Israeli bombings of Lebanon to continue unabated for more than a month.

"Venezuela once again proposes today that we reform the United Nations," he said.

So would GW

Lazonby 09-20-2006 09:16 AM

Chavez recently attended a meeting in Havana in which all the world's scumbags were there (Ahmadinejad & Co). He has created a 'nonaligned group' of dictators, etc.

Chavez is also allowing Hizballah, the terrorist group, to operate freely in one of Venezuela's provinces, where they are indoctrinating the local Indian tribe in Islam.

He has also tried to change the constitution so that he can rule for another 20 odd years.

Somewhere there is a very lucky bullet with Chavez's name on it, I'm happy to say. It's just a matter of time.

LiveDose 09-20-2006 09:18 AM

You actually meant to say that GW should never have been allowed to run for president. He may be crap, but he's not evil.

some good points here, especially about the joke that is the UN but I am glad Israel knocked the shit out of that terrorist group.
