I think $10k a week before taxes for an entire family is just about right to live comfortable and have money to enjoy life to its fullest.

Only problem is, money is a virus and the more you have, the more you want.

Yes it is a comfortable range to earn...dependant on your expenses...

One can be happy with less, and miserable with more...there is more than just math involved in the happy equation.


That being said, being broke sucks and having a shitload of cash rocks...no way around that.

I've never been motivated by money, I have it and that's all I worry about.

What motivates me is doing things as well as I can and proving I can do them. Most of the time I'm proving it to myself I can do it.

I was broke and had the bailiffs taking away furniture, I proved I could pay off the debt, it was 30 years ago.

I proved I could get sets published in magazines, proved I could run a video company, proved I ...........................

You know the rest.

My problem is once I've done it I lack the drive to push it home. Not ever going to be the best, just adequate.

It would depend. If it meant less work, I might be willing to take an income hit. It would also depend on if you meant $1k-$2/day after expenses, or before.

Money is fine, but it's not the prime consideration... and $360K ish/year net before tax is OK for any small team or individual in the adult biz on the net - and sure above the "average webmaster" earnings.

Couple of other factors - there are plenty more ways to earn far more than that for less work than is required of an adult webmaster. Other point is - it's even better in a scenario where there are no taxes involved.

Only my :2 cents: - money was never a driving force. The buzz from making something work means far more, and, that kinda makes me happy :) More often than not, - making shit work does turn in dollars as a secondary benefit.

After a level, there is little interest in running around malls trying to spend money - gimme a fresh coffee, cigar and some new ideas and I'm happy - send somebody else to the mall to waste time on crap :pimp

sure i'd be happy financially making that amount as long as i can make it consistantly without having to work my ass off and always have to worry about if its going to drop. i have made 1k/day before, just not every day.
