I know what everyone will say, I should always ask for 50% upfront. For a $25 template? Cmon, I would like to trust people sometimes... not anymore. Been fucked too many times, now it's money upfront or go fuck yourself.

No $25 , no chance to fix it (it was just the 1st sample, not finished work) and no answer at all. He just decided not to buy it.

Seriously... You should give things a LITTLE more time before calling out people as scammers over $25

First time clients, money upfront or at least a deposit is always expected. For established clients I am rarely concerned with it. I ussually do the work and they pay me afterwards. Though a few pay first, then take forever to get me the details. I actually have to remind a few to get on the ball since I already have their money.

Screwing someone for 25.00 though is fucking low. Even if they hated the result and you followed specs given. I would expect them to at very least offer partial payment for taking up your time.

People often expect designers to be psychic. You can ask them what color schemes they may like, any feel or mood they desire, sample sites that they like the for inspiration, and what not and the client often responds with a I dunno answer. Kind of annoying actually.

Last time something like this happened it was a company and I waited for 2 weeks, always talking about it on ICQ, never getting paid. Then I came to GFY and I got my money in 1 hour. So I'm done with waiting, if I see bullshit I dont wait. Read the log, do you really think he was planning to pay me?

There, before he wasnt paying because he didnt like it, now he is not paying because I posted his site on GFY.

Bottom line: the scammer is not paying, I wasted a couple of hours.

That makes you a steaming piece of shit. You can pull another excuse out of your ass now but again, nobody is buying it. I've paid for and tossed dozens of designs over the years. Not because the designer wouldn't fix them if I asked, I just don't like doing that. I still paid for the work that was agreed upon. This isn't some in the box product, the guy took his time out of the day and trusted you to keep your word.
