they taste like that when eaten alive too ;)
same with crickets

but those are not "exotic." they live all over the place.

"exotic" would be an endangered animal or a taboo meat such as monkey, or human. therefore, i have not eaten anything "exotic".

Komodo, monkey(brain) and dog tasted like shit. Horse kinda hard to chew and salty, raindeer almost like other deers, the snake tasted like chicken, whale kind of bitter beef but good. Can't remember the polarbear, I was kid back then.

XMaster 09-14-2006 03:34 AM

Sexsitesurfer 09-14-2006 03:36 AM

now we're talking!
from what i understand and personal experience reptiles taste like chicken.

maybe the horse was salted before consuption? therefore dry and hard to chew.

i can't imagine brain tasting poor -- it's nearly all fat. it must be wonderful and sublime!

polarbear?
up north kids go crazy for seal eyes :) it's like ice cream to them

Machete_ 09-14-2006 03:37 AM

We don't eat Horse in the states... the only time I have ever seen it on the menu is in Europe...

I have tried Buffalo, Pigeon, Alligator, Antelope and Zebra. Those are as exotic as I'm probably willing to get. :)

Antonio 09-14-2006 05:20 AM

Octopus is not that exotic here, we can buy it in most shops here :)

Jakke PNG 09-14-2006 07:36 AM

reindeer or moose is hardly 'exotic' HERE, but it all depends where you live... something like a swordfish, or fresh tuna is exotic and fucking expensive here.

...but what I've eaten;

Turtle
Alligator
Ostrich
All sorts of living snails and seafood in general
all sorts of non-living snails and seafood in general
frog
caribou
horse
goat
kangaroo
ants and crickets
some stuff I don't know what it was, but it tasted 'exotic'..or then it was just something found on the restaurant floor the week before.

clip4free 09-14-2006 08:09 AM

croc, ostridge, locusts, ants, snake(s), weird sea food (shark, octopus etc.), turtle, some lizards and a zebra.

Horsemeat has been secretly added in your garden variety wieners in the American supermarket. I know major brands use pig entrails and horsemeat mixed with the pork meat. Horsemeat actually adds body to the meat, since most of the fat in pork has been boiled away.

AssPirate 09-14-2006 08:16 AM

I'm not particularly fond of swordfish. When it is undercooked, you have a chance to ingest the eggs of parasites in the fish's intestinal lining that goes up into your brain and resides there! Yuck! Brain worms! I kid you not! That's why I don't eat swordfish at all!

hzoltan 09-14-2006 08:17 AM

great bustard

DomP_nl 09-14-2006 08:17 AM

Damian_Maxcash 09-14-2006 08:27 AM

There are few Chinese resturants around here where I just dont want to know what is in the food - it could be anything.

Croc and Roo are about the most exotic I know about.

naughty_wld 09-14-2006 08:44 AM

definitely chicken

ADL Colin 09-14-2006 08:44 AM

Ostrich, buffalo, moose, reindeer.

I don't dig on reptiles.

marketsmart 09-14-2006 09:02 AM
