they should pay triple, theres no excuse for letting yourself get so fat you cant sit in a single airline seat.

They should take the back row of coach and remove a seat on both sides and make the chairs larger.

This row would be reserved for really fat people who can't fit in the normal seats.

If you remove 2,3 normal chairs to install the wide-ass chairs you should raise the price a tad to recover the loss.

They should all site on the same side of the plane....

i think instead of charging them for double seats, they should have a row of treadmills line up in the back that fat people have to use at no extra charge.

I don't think fat people should pay more. Do you think we should pay them more at their work because they are fat?

Being fat is a disease that is out of their control. So I don't think they should be paying double.

If I have to pay extra if my luggage is over a certain weight, why shouldn't overweight people have to pay more?

the issue is: should they pay more if they take up two seats? i'd say yes for full flights, simply because that's revenue southwest is losing. for other flights, i guess i wouldn't be a fan of that. in any case, if they don't charge more, southwest will just raise the rates for everyone to make up for it.

for most people, it's not like they were born unable to control it. they developed patterns and behaviors that maintain their "disease".

I believe that's Southwest's plan. Pay more for an extra seat, then get a refund if the plane isn't full.

Your ticket should be based on how much you weigh... and how much luggage. W/ one carryon bag I shouldn't have to pay as much as a fat guy w/ 3 suitcases. The fat guy is burning more fuel.

If they take 2 seats they should pay for those 2 seats or buy a first class ticket with more room to start with.
It is unfair they can take up 2 seats or crowd some fellow beside them to death and not be forced to pay extra.
being "big" or slightly chubby might be out of some ones control but these people 300,400,500 pounds have no excuse.
They stuff their face with chips & chocolate bars all day and never exercise.

Oh please, last year i noticed i was getting a hefty gut from all the junk food and sitting in front of a computer. SO i cut ou8t the junk food and work out 2 or 3 times a day for like 30 minutes a pop. Gut is gone. Amazing how that works.
