Legal highs: Kanna (Sceletium Tortuosum)
 

Anybody tried this plant?

You can either snort it, chew it or what personally works best for me make tea from it.

It's legal to buy, you can even find it on Ebay.

You need little of it to feel the effects and the tea actually tastes pretty good.

It gives a mellow high and makes you feel warm and comfortable. A bigger dosage can give mild hallucinations although i haven tried that myself.

Official description:

Sceletium, also known as Kanna, is used as a psychedelic by the Hottentots of South Africa. It is sniffed, smoked or used as tea. The Dutch who arrived in South Africa called it kaugoed, which means ´chewing substance´.

Effects
Sceletium tortuosum enhances mood and a sense of connection, while relieving anxious feelings. In higher dosages it can cause euphoria, initially with stimulation and later with relaxation.

Usage
Sceletium can be used as snuff, 20 mg is sufficient to produce a substantial effect. You can also chew it with a piece of gum. Traditionally it was smoked. The combination with cannabis or alcohol produces interesting effects. Futher you can make tea of it, or extract the active compound with alcohol.

Its very cheap and you need very little of it to notice the effects. Although the effects might not be noticable at all for some people it seems. It's also a matter of getting used to it. It's not like a lot of drugs where you need more and more of it to get the same effect. Once youve drank it a few times your body recognizes it and you will notice the effects quite quick.

Recommended for those who dont want to smoke weed or dont do drugs at all but do want to try something that will make them feel good. Something safe and legal which wont fuck you up. :thumbsup

I've never tried that, but it sounds pretty cool. I might have to get some. I just drank some kratom tea a little while ago and it's got me feelin' pretty good. It's very very similar to morphine.

And a tip for legal highs, don't get them on ebay because the quality is shit!

I almost ordered some Kratom but read some really fucked up things about it. People getting sick from it and throwing up.

Also, just cuz they're legal doesn't mean they're completely safe or nonaddictive. There's legal shit that will definitely fuck you up!

Ofcourse...but in this case its nothing to worry about. Some of the most potent drugs are legal (Salvia and Datura).

It's never made me sick. Just a little bit of nausea but that's normal with opiates. If you do too much I'm sure it would make you sick though.

I'd like to add not to do it alone. I recently found out that you can actually "sleep walk" on it. Even though it is a short trip, you don't want to walk out into a busy street.

Well, oddly enough it didnt do much for me. Like some people dont notice anything from using Kanna. I tried enough Salvia for a whole family and besides a few weird hallucinations in my head for 2 mins it didnt notice much. I felt there was something and it can def. mess you up but it just wouldnt come out.

Yeah if you have real potent Salvia you can move and walk without realizing it.

If you try it again don't try to take more than you did the first time. It can take a time or two to feel the effects. You may go into it thinking that you need to take a shit load, but you don't. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Smoke it out of a bong and use a torch lighter. Also try the 15x instead of just regular leaf. I've read there's a reverse tolerance, so it can take a few times of using it to get the effects.

That happend to me last time. I had no idea that was possible given that when I've done it I feel paralized. When I came to I was in the same exact spot I had began with but the door was open and someone saw me walking around the kitchen. I that feeling that I need to get out of the trip. I guess I was trying to get out of the house thinking that would end it. Luckily I didn't.

Wow! Some of you guys are really taking some tough shit! I've only read about that and I have a friend who went crazy on that stuff, I don't take it. Nothing.

That I do. There I know the effects. Also tried weed once and got high, which was cool.

But I don't really drink lots of alcohol. And ever since my friend went to the loony bin I stay away from doing drugs hard. Not that I ever had any intentions to do so. But even if I had, having seen what happened to him was enough of a cure.

salvia will get you high and you may have 100 fine trips , but because its a plant not a pill you can NEVER tell how much active ingredient is in it.. There may be one plant that is 100 times more powerfull than another plant , and that will be the last salvia you ever take ..

A common and witnessed theme of overdoses on hallucinogens is you do exctly what you wouldnt want to do.. like whatever you think would be the worst most embaressing thing you could do is exactly what you will do..

Thats why you buy it in extracts. Its perfectly safe. I dont think anybody ever died of Salvia. Actually im sure.
