I would want to know about it if it were my program.
If you pull data from a dying/recently dead stats server it could show an old number (looks like sale disappeared), only to come back later when you connect with a good server. I'd want to know if I have a box getting ready to kick the bucket.

I'd just approach it that way and assume it *is* something screwed up in the hardware or whatever and report it.

If it was PR or AE, definitely let me know and we'll get it looked at ASAP.

Better question: Why WOULDN'T a program with "in house" stats shave your earnings?

I hear ya, but the thing about this program is that shit like this is nothing new. Happens a lot (not just to me) but nothing gets done.

Why haven't you switched sponsors?

I don't send them much traffic < 100 clicks/day . mostly from old links that I'm too lazy to hunt down and change.

Don't label it a shave then. Do not label it anything just say what ya saw and what program. Unless of course you agree with what happened to you and agree with it happening to other webmasters...

In essence you are essentially caring enough to say somthing, and agree with the descrepancy to some degree.

I had the exact same thing happen with a very large program myself, about 30 minutes ago.

Sale from yesterday showed up, then 5 mins later disappeared. Gonna give it a few hours, if its not back I'm emailing support.

Of course you can do something about it.

Talk with some others u know, that promote same sponsor, and tell them to log any suspicious. Then come back and post it.

I never understood the "it's a glitch" response. I've been around affiliate programs, had custom ones built for sites I own, used generic out of the box programs, and have never had a glitch that would take away sales or display sales that weren't there.

One day someone will file charges againest a program and win, and things will change. In my state the charge is theft by deception, and it would stick with some proof.

I know who you are refering to I bet. There standard answer when confronted, is to send a screen shot of the stats that disappeared. Next to impossible when the stats have already been changed.

name the program, by doing that you are helping out all of their affiliates and get an on board response from them all the affiliates can see

Sometimes a chargeback will come through and it'll remove the sale. Not sure what happened with your case. I'd ask the program you're having trouble with. Since they're the only ones that will be able to help you out.
