TGPs vs Blogs... which way do you prefer?
 

Do you prefer blogs or TGPs for generating traffic? I think most people do blogs wrong so they dont get enough credit as a source.

TGPs get you way more traffic quicker.

don't forget most of the so called "blogs" have (when it comes to adult) are more like freesites under a flashy package more than anything else ;)

One will make you 2 dinarat a week while the other will bring 200 centanat/week. It is matter of preference I think.

It's not 1997 anymore. In order for a TGP to be "done right" it takes a lot of work, skill and knowledge.

i always been a blog person, my first blog went up in 98.

more quality of traffic.

i see some people running 50% to gals tgps/mgps and barely making money for the hosting.

setup the right link trades, and you can do very well.

I started the women's erotica one a few weeks ago (in my sig) and will be launching a regular porn one soon.

BTW, Akil at team31.net did the skin and will also be doing the skin on my other soon to launch blog.

Besides, I'm just beginning and Blogs are perfect for beginners IMHO

You can have 10 big tgps or you can have a 1000 small once. It's your choice :)

I don't really have a preference, I just do both...I think a lot of people get stuck in the thought they have to do one or the other, when they should be doing both plus thousands of other things.

It is. I don't know about the rest of you but I notice the richest people in this business are the ones who focus on one or two things. A guy named Patrick comes to mind as an example of that.

blogs are the best thing to ever happen to TGPs....all the newbs are flocking to open blogs instead of TGPs..:thumbsup

I would have said TGP's a year or 2 ago, but not now, the little traffic I get to my blogs is a way better quality than the little traffic I was getting to my TGP's.

The chance of your traffic getting inbred to the point of becoming mutant, while running 1000 small TGP's, is overwhelming.

I am more of a blog man, I have seen much better ratios all around from my blogs than any tgp I have even run or worked with. Most of the time I would get on average 1:700-1000 on a tgp for a standard ratio, with my blogs I am generally seeing 1:100-500 most of the time

tgp's are easier to get traffic for yes, but when you are starting a site you have to ask if you want to deal with quality or quantity...some prefer quantity, I prefer quality.....I would rather have much less traffic with much better ratios, than shit tons of traffic with horrible ratios

I agree, some people focus on one area and make a killing...but a lot also have a diversified portfolio of things they do in porn and make a killing. For me, I just like having multiple traffic sources...makes it easier for me to sleep at night knowing I don't have to depend on one thing.

blogs require more work.... daily/weekly updates... at least with TGP's you can let scripts do the work

my way of thinking is that I am so confident in my sites, that I welcome more competition, so that when people find my site after hitting 30 horrible other sites that try and be like it, they stay on mine and keep coming back

I like a little bit of everything...But just study what you want to do and it's fairly easy to make money. Just got to know what you are doing. A lot of people just throw crap up and never take the time to think.

blogs do require more work, which is why the conversions are usually better...as a blog owner, I have the chance with every post i make to sell the surfer with a nice story and description of the site. tgp's have a thumb and depend on galleries to sell

oh, and btw, we have scripts too :)

why would you limit yourself? do both. run a network of blogs and a network of tgps.

We have done it both now, but I guess TGP's works a lot better...

Blogs are easier, and free, except for the domain. But why not do both. Using a blog and a tgp is the best.

Can't beat big TGP traffic .. Blogs can generate good traffic, in the long run too :)
