never but might do it this winter... relax on a carabean island...

polish_aristocrat 07-13-2006 09:58 AM

in my circle someone travelling alone would be considered a loser

personally I have fixed feelings about it

Martin 07-13-2006 09:58 AM

I have been a few places on the solo. NYC was pretty cool.. Bit scary though but once I learned my way around I started to relax.

polish_aristocrat 07-13-2006 10:02 AM

I guess it depends on wheter you go alone on holiday cause you have noone to take with you or if you are a person like kman or Dugm0r who travel all the time and ejoy their lifes

Barefootsies 07-13-2006 10:12 AM

Have I? Yes.
Do I make a habit, or a point of it? No.

:2 cents:

Why would I need a friend/gf to travel with me, while I can perfectly enjoy myself, and do only the things I like?

Also for shows, I travel often alone...

And yeah, for summerbreaks, I also go with friends, for the fun, drinking, talking stuff:)

what does it matter if you have no one to take with you? Not everyone have the money or the schedule to travel with you... And who cares what your "circle" think.. :winkwink:

CaptainWolfy 07-13-2006 10:48 AM

only if i have to travel by my self ....

Sosa 07-13-2006 10:55 AM

depends where you go and what your plan is :)

shows dont matter here, they are biz

if you can enjoy yourself, then great, but if you travel alone to f.e Greece to lie on the beach alone whole day and then return to your single hotel room, and you talk to people only when buying a beer / ice cream, then its kinda strange

if you meet new people fast and then have fun with them, then its another thing :thumbsup

.

thats my biggest problem, my friends cant really afford any of my travel-ideas :disgust

Ivana Fukalot 07-13-2006 11:42 AM

Sometimes i want to be alone, but i prefer to travel with my female friends. When girls are together , its usually funny.

Yeah when you are alone, hotels are not the best places to stay....

You seem alot more interested about what other people may be thinking of it rather tham actualy enjoy it...thats sad :(

fallenmuffin 07-13-2006 11:56 AM

Sometimes I travel alone but it just makes me feel like an idiot. I go with my best mate sometimes but he doesn't like all the places I wanna go. I need to get a girlfriend :/

The Ghost 07-13-2006 11:58 AM

I have. It's typically nice to travel with someone, but not always. Entertainment on some of the cross conteniential journeys have almost eliminated the need for human converstation.

At the destination it is nice to see a friendly face though.

LittleSassy 07-13-2006 12:47 PM

Sometimes, we all have those moments that we need some time alone

DutchTeenCash 07-13-2006 12:51 PM

Few weeks left to 25hrs trip again so sure why not

CaptainHowdy 07-13-2006 12:54 PM

Yes and it's the best for me...

polish_aristocrat 07-13-2006 01:00 PM

I guess some people understood this thread differently.

I understood it as "do you go on a holiday ( vacation ) alone" and not "do you go alone on a 16 hours plane trip"

you were the one who said that your friends dont make as much as you do, so they can't afford your vacation plans ( actually im in the same situation )

and you also started this thread so that also proves that you arent really convinced if travelling alone is a good idea :upsidedow

unless you're the kman type and want spend whole day with hookers :Oh crap

Mr. Romance 07-13-2006 01:05 PM

And thats what I meant...

Your arguments were mostly all about what OTHERS may think and how they can perceive you..

So then I ask do you go on vacation, buy x car, go to x places just for others or for yourself?

Your answer fits alot into this question I made awhile ago:
http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...2#post10331622

The difference is your others seem to be everybody in the world even people = people that don't and will not make any difference on your life :2 cents:

UglyCrackBaby 07-13-2006 01:09 PM

I only really travel when I go on vacation and I don't usually go on vacation alone.

You seem to assume alot...

So a good vacation when you are alone has to involve hookers...thats sad :)

HpicAnn 07-13-2006 01:21 PM

Nop, I hate to travel alone! Just HATE IT!

Ace_luffy 07-13-2006 01:31 PM

sometimes..... specially you like some evil things...........

IWantU_Jeff 07-13-2006 01:31 PM

i never have. Trips are soo better in a small group of friends.

SomeCreep 07-13-2006 01:31 PM

Only when I'm by myself.

SweetJeanette 07-13-2006 02:12 PM

I don't ever travel, but if I did, I'd want to bring some company along.

$5 submissions 07-13-2006 02:27 PM

it is tempting... there's a saying... if you want to lose a friend, travel with him for a long time. I see some truth in that. You tend to get on each other's nerves after a while.

Rhesus 07-13-2006 02:35 PM

Yes, very often. But one with communicative skills is never alone.

Magix 07-13-2006 03:01 PM

Yes and no :)
