European countries crime rates worse than USA
No shit? I still cant believe all the bad things I am reading about Europe lately, what the fuck is going on over there?
--------------------------------------------- Here are Interpol 2001 crime statistics (rate per 100,000): * 4161 - US * 7736 - Germany * 6941 - France * 9927 - England and Wales http://www.tinyvital.com/BlogArchives/000220.html |
These stats.. for all countries you just listed... are a load of crap.

Yea but ours were probably all homicides :Oh crap |
lol they exclude blacks from the statistics with this lame excuse:
"Thus if you remove homicides committed by blacks (total: 21862, Blacks:9316), and assume a proportionality between number of offenders and number of offenses, you can extrapolate US homicide offender rate of only 2.6/100,000, lower than Germany (3.27) and France (3.91). One might ask why blacks are singled out. The reason is that inner city blacks are not representative of our culture" |
What about USA? I'm glad I'm cosy in Australia :)
|
i don't believe stats but this is possible.
|
its possible if you exclude all blacks in usa
otherwise, US crime rate is 3x higher than the one in germany and more likely 10-20x higher than many EU countries. |

Those stats do not include violent crimes, or if they do they are definitely lying out of their ass. Let?s get into murder a bit shall we? All the following data can be pulled from nationmaster, and all data is at least from the year 2k and up.
Washington, DC has one of the highest murder rates in the developed world at around 50 per 100,000, which is more than a HUNDRED TIMES that of the capital of the European Union, Brussels. The highest rate I could find for a comparably large city in Europe was Moscow, and it is only 15 per 100k! Largest Canadian city?s homicide rate I could find was Regina?s, which was at 4.72. They don?t kill people at all in Canada :( The top 10 countries on total murders per year: India ? 37,170 Russia Colombia South Africa ? 21,995 Mexico United States ? 12,658 Venezuela Thailand Ukraine Indonesia ? 2,204 On that same list France?s murders per year were at 1,051, Germany?s at 960, and the UK?s was at 850. Breaking it down per population capita, we have the following: USA: Around 4.2802 per million are murdered. Germany: Around 1.16461 per million are murdered. France: Around 1.73272 per million are murdered. UK: Around 1.40633 per million are murdered. So there you have it. You are about 4x more likely to get murdered in the USA than you are in Germany, France, or the UK. I could do the above for each of these countries on other violent crimes such as rape and other violent crimes but I can assure you the USA would win again out of these four choices ^_^ USA, USA! We R? dey WINNARS! |

Take what appears to be the worst stat - the UK - basically that says almost 10% of the population have committed some crime - and, to top that, this is supposed to be an annual stat??? No country in the western world (and slim chance of elsewhere) has a crime stat near 10%. You'd need to do some research on this over countries Splum.. but just asked a law person who knows of one country well and that is miles out from what is known by law enforcement in that country - they'd have a severe jail accomodation problem if that was the case :winkwink: Other bits apparently are.. some areas count each "offense", others count multiple instances of the same offense multiple times and there are also regional variations on the recording of crime. Some nations don't include offenses committed by "minors", others do etc. There are also geo differences in reporting of crime - ie some folks regard stuff as petty and don't bother reporting it. It really needs a good bit of work to extract comparable international stats. The US stats alone really need qualifying and come from the FBI's Uniform Crime Report and the National Crime Victimization Survey (Bureau of Justice Stats). One thing that is known is that South Africa has a crime rate above almost all other countries. |

Some countries have stiffer "rules of law" obviously, I just get tired of hearing Europe is better this and that and the other thing. Look the bottom line is Europe is no better than the USA when it comes to alot of things. |

So.. little point in this thread, is there? :winkwink: OK.. Simplified, but even this is probably not even accurate - forget "reported crime" and concentrate on actual convictions for a crime. A quick and easy measure is a count of actual convictions in a year for "something"? Try this.. http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cr...ted-per-capita |

Matter of fact looking at your posts you are probably a fucking surfer. CLUEPON son this is an adult webmaster board not MichaelMoore.com Move along son. |

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cr...ted-per-capita See we can slice and dice this any way you want, you can find numbers to support the fact that you think America sucks and I can find statistics to prove America doesnt suck. Thing is the thread states EUROPEAN COUNTRIES CRIME RATES WORSE THAN USA and you have yet to prove to me otherwise, the burden is on you. ALL CRIME, dont pick and choose. Kthx. |
Quote:
No.. overall, you are basically wrong. The EU overall does not have "worse stats" than the US - in fact "better". If you chose South Africa, it may have been another story. So basically... pointless thread man. |

As for the other posts I make here at gfy, they are not relevant to this thread. So stay on topic or shut the fuck up. :thumbsup |

There is nothing to slice and dice. You made your thread title up out of a load of blog crap which does not even agree with the US stats, nevermind any other country. You claim, be self-admission, you are on an agenda to prove something - namely that "EUROPEAN COUNTRIES CRIME RATES WORSE THAN USA". You sure have not done that - and sure as hell I'm not going to do it for you. You started this thread by stating obvious crap - carry on and finish it :winkwink: |

Oh Gawd... why it is that folks become "delusional" and there is claims to "losing an arguement" when there is no credibility to your posts? Never fails - it's always the same cliched words that come out. Try one level lower next and talk about Michael Moore and liberals and other irrelevant shit :winkwink: |
