Looks like it got a little windy (tornado pics)

A tornado came close to goodgirl's home on Tuesday afternoon. Being the brave trooper she is, she managed to grab some pics to show those of us that never experience these things.

Looks like it got pretty intense. Click for the full size pics.

Glad I don't live in Indiana anymore.. not too many tornados here in AZ

I luv midwest storms as long as they leave the roof on and don't knock out power for too long.

We are expecting tornados later today. The last one which actually hit town was in 2000 and it carved a path right through the middle. Missed my house by 150 feet but picked up a store two lots away and dumped most of it onto my roof causing $35K damage.

We had absolutely no idea the thing was coming and were sat eating dinner with friends, when a noise like the loudest express train you ever heard started. It was past quickly and only then we found out what had happened.

u-Bob 06-01-2006 08:26 AM

Yeah, I am trying to decide whether or not to post them. Maybe I should take a vote.

You should see the pile of burned out modems and motherboards she has from lightning strikes. Those are a real drag and cause us grief at least once a year. If she is home when the storms start she can start shutting down and unplugging things, but if she is gone when they start it is not unusual to come home to smoking boards and modems.

:1orglaugh These pictures were from the outskirts of the storm. The only real danger was the wind almost blew a bbq and wheelbarrow into her new car.
